If all goes as planned, Scottie Wilbekin, a standout point guard at The Rock in Gainesville, will be a Florida Gator pretty soon, his father said Wednesday. "That's my feeling," said Svend Wilbekin.

College basketball » In a rare move in college basketball, Florida coach Billy Donovan intends to sign Scottie Wilbekin , a 6-foot-2 junior point guard from Gainesville, to a scholarship, pending clearance from the NCAA, Florida Today has confirmed. The plan is for Wilbekin to graduate early from The Rock School and immediately become eligible at Florida. Wilbekin's father, who is also his coach, said he still must take the SAT and must receive clearance from the NCAA to sign. "
