10 teams, 9 eligible for postseason play, 8 postseason spots, top 4 get home games.

Presby and G-W are looking to be 10 & 9.

Coastal & Radford are 1 & 2.

Our win @ VMI puts us a step ahead of them. We should finish ahead of CSU. That leaves WU, UNCA, High Point, and us fighting for spots 3 & 4 and a first round home game.

Based on this past week it would tough and close to impossible to project much moving forward. Outside of Radford it is tough to see anybody else really standing out. Keep in mind CCU nearly lost at home last night to Presby.

Radford almost lost to Presby too if I'm not mistaken. Coastal is easily the #2 team in our league right now.

They didn't nearly lose to Presby. They won by 14. Presby did hold a second-half lead, but Coastal finished the game out just fine.

If we're going to make it out of the first round, we've got to finish within the top-4 IMO. A home game would do wonders for our young group.

Am I the only one who thinks presby is a lot better than they should be? It seems like they hold their own for the most part when they should be getting blown out by 20+ with the amount of guys they're sitting.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades (but I agree that Presby has been much more competitive than expected).

Coastal just knocked off Asheville in Asheville at the buzzer to move to 5-0 in conference. UNCA is now 1-3

That's fine with me. Coastal can run away with the conference. They're the one team that we're behind the 8-ball on. Another UNCA loss is fine with me, too.

Yeah, honestly I'd like to see Coastal and Radford beat everybody (except us) twice. We're not going to catch them, and I'm shooting for that 3 seed.

Yeah, if we could hold home court against RU, and steal the game on the Beach against the Chickens, and then hold home for the most part against the rest of the league, I think the 3 would be ours.

The way the league is this year, it's even more important to win your home games. This thing is so wide open. Yeah, Coastal and Radford look to be at the top but they're both beatable. We've stolen two road games already and lost one home game. If we can win our home games, we're guaranteed 10 wins in the league. If we can steal one at CSU or Asheville or GWU, I've gotta think that puts us in the top half of the league.

VMI is a team without a leader. they are not playing as a team and it shows. congrats to PC.

Radford dropped one to high point and is now 3rd in conference behind HPU.

HPU beat Radford tonight. That should settle the "who is the class of the league" argument. It's CCU, then everyone else. I know you don't win them all of the road, but if CCU can beat us in Vines soundly, but Radford can't beat HPU in Millis? CCU is the class of the league. I think we're set to be in the top half if we hold serve at home. PC can knock some teams off, as can CSU obviously, and I think 10 wins is good for 3rd.

I wouldn't say CCU is hands down the class of the league. I think they're at the top, but it's not a huge gap. If we make lay-ups in our game, it's a completely different game. We left 40 points on the floor in lay-ups alone. I think Radford can beat them. Radford's big problem is they have no guard play. When I last looked at the stats with about four minutes to go, all of the stats were almost the exact same except for two: rebounds and 3-pointers. Radford was killing them on the boards, but High Point was shooting 45% from three while Radford was shooting 0% (not a typo). HPU's gonna give people trouble for the same reason we did last year: they can shoot it from three.

This is not a knock on Coastal, because they have definitely earned their wins, but let's remember that four of their six wins were against teams that have only won one game a piece. They haven't played three of the top six teams yet, including the two teams that'll give them their most competition (HPU and Radford). If they survive next week and win at least one of those games, then I'll say they're definitely set apart. Right now, I'm saying they're at the top but not by much.
