I almost bought a sweater vest yesterday just to wear it to this game.

I think we should all show up in RED sweater vests.

VMI is just flat out not that good. Freaking Lynchburg College was able to do several things very well against them and LC hasn't had a winning season since A Flock of Seagulls first broke up.

I'll be there as well, but not sure how many I'll be taking with me.
Tickets range in price from $12-$5.

You know, I'm really glad the Holmes twins are gone. The drove me insane when we played them. Some days it would've been nice to beat em up. :fight

As far as VMI's schedule/results is concerned, I think they lost some great players from last season to this season. You can definately see that in their wins vs. losses and how close their victories were.

I'm really hoping that Lang gives us an info box in Saturday's paper.

It's done, and I talked to someone in the office to make sure it was there, so it will run.

According to Lang's info box, VMI's tallest starter is 6'5", and their other four starters go 6'4", 6'3", 5'11" & 5'11". If Carter doesn't get into foul trouble, he should have a field day blocking shots.

Anybody know the LU record for most blocked shots in a game?

I hope he just scores some points. Who cares about a blocking record. We need him to become a inside scoring threat.

VMI has a 7-footer, but he plays limited minutes and is really a liability to the way they want to play offense.

Not really. If they're popping threes, I hope he's not out there blocking shots on the perimeter.

Yeah, the 3s are always a big factor for VMI, but last year the layups (and dunks) killed us too. Hopefully if they challenge him early Carter can block one or 2, provide an inside presence, and force them to rely more on the 3.

You obviously haven't seen them play yet... that 7 footer is becoming dangerous in their offense. I was at their VT game.

I have seen them play. He was a total non factor in the game I watched.

Apparently dangerous means going 1-2 for 2 points in 8 minutes while fouling out. Dude fouled out in just EIGHT minutes. In fact, he has fouled out in four games, in those four games he has a combined 44 minutes. In another game he had four fouls in five minutes. Guy couldn't do a thing against Lynchburg in six minutes. If he were able to play all 40 minutes, he would foul out three times as he averages a mind boggling 15.7 fouls per 40 minutes.
