Doesn't Liberty already have plenty of 6ft guards?? How about some 6'9 power forwards. Just a thought.

While we already do have some guards on the team, in college players only have 4 years of eligibility. So you see if you don't recruit more, you won't have any after a while. 2011 is 2 seasons away.

I'd say at this point we need all the help we can get. If we think someone can come in and beat out who's "ahead" of him on the depth chart then we take him.

Actually, we don't currently have a scholarship player under 6'2". I might also add that we have a head coach and 3 assistants, and apparently they felt this kid was good enough to offer. It's only a verbal, and he's just a Junior in HS. Way too early to know how it will play out.

I had a coach tell me once: "D-I big men ar enot recruited; they're bought."

Bingo! #1 question any coach worth anything recruiting wise will always ask when analyzing a kid: "Does he/she make us better?" If the answer is no, move on.
