Well I caught the last couple minutes but what's everybody's review of Nick tonight? Also whatd you think of the new PA announcer at the women's game?

Ha, I thought this would be able the players and the coach. Nick's not the new guy. He's the fill-in guy during football season.

Thanks for that Jon...For some reason I guess I felt he was the "new guy" doing basketball. Anyway if you guys want to talk about the players then go right ahead

Evan Gordon - very hesitant in the first 30 minutes of the game, did not look for a shot. Once he hit that 3 at the end of the shot clock to cut it to 7, you could tell he became confident in his ability. He's a good shooter and does a good job at attacking the rim. At the very least he will be a more than dependable backup to Jesse at the 1. Hopefully he'll develop into a 2 guard scorer that we will definitely need for conference play.

Chris Perez - he got the start over Evan which shows he has the ability. He didn't show much last night. Like Gordon he was very hesitant, but unlike Gordon he never gained any confidence throughout the game. Now much of that is because Evan did and was on the court at the end. I think we'll see games where he will put up 15-20 points this year though.

Patrick Konan - the only other freshman to get on the court. He was obviously in there for his defense. I don't think he touched the ball on offense. He did dive after a few loose balls which was nice to see.

JVP & Burrus - looked good in their warmups :D

but he still scored 2 points against Southern Virginia. He didn't score at George Mason though. Maybe that's what he's talking about...

I really like the play of Burrus. He actually gives us someone that can score with his back to the basket.

Another almost ridiculously effecient line for Perez. 11 points on 4-5 from the floor, 1-1 from 3 and 2-2 from the line, with 3 assists and no turnovers in 15 minutes.

Burrus was a force down low, showing post moves that I haven't seen since Ace was here.

We already know about Konan. He's a stud, and has been for a while now.
