Who will be the leading scorer in 2009-10?

It's hard at this point to know who will get the majority of the playing time, so I'm going with the surest bet in Ohman. He will play a lot and be given the opportunity to shoot. I think a Healthy Baker could do it also.

Interesting that you would start this thread, and it's already been answered, no poll needed:

Ohman, Anderson, and a freshman all have the best chance, IMO, but Ohman is the best bet.

Betting on Anderson is like betting on Baker. Too many injuries.

What about Minaya?

I went with Patrick the Barbarian just because I think we will be methodically and deliberately going to the post this season. So maybe Minaya would have been a better pick for me since he's been here for a year, although since it's a new coach that may not matter, but I just when with Konan because he looks physical.

I voted for Minaya. I think he will be a lot better than anyone is giving him credit for.

Is anyone else feeling uneasy that our leading scorer will be a former walk-on?

What a bunch of "anti-walkites".
It doesn't bother me a bit. If you can play, you can play. Do I need to go down the list of guys we recruited and gave scholarships to who COULDN'T?

Slightly, but then again Virginia Tech's softball team last season was made up of mostly walk-ons or former walk-ons and they went to the College Softball World Series. I know, its a completely different sport, but still...walk-ons can be diamonds in the rough.

That kid from Drake who was a walk-on lead his team to the NCAA's.
It happens.

Steve Kerr was a walk on at Arizona and because I have NEVER been mentioned in the same breath as Kerr, so was Tim Scarborough

We did well with Brian Woodson, and he was a walk-on.
And I know it's the wrong sport, but my favorite walk-on story was Albert Pujols. He grew up in the Dominican and moved to Missouri as a 16-year-old. His first day of school, he walks up to someone and says "Where is beisbol?"
Worked out well for them, too...

Dangit, we agree.
