Still a few contracts out, but the bulk of the schedule is done. Should come out soon, I would think.

Unless it has changed from when McKay was here, the early part goes:

Friday, Nov 13 at GMU
Saturday, Nov 14 vs some non-DI
Tuesday, Nov 17 vs Clemson
Thursday, Nov 19 vs ODU

Then that weekend we travel up to Chicago to play Northwestern and another big time school followed by two games against schools more our level (like the Vegas tournament last year).

Then again, all of this could've changed after the coaching change.

Is the Northwestern thing like a classic/tourney over Thanksgiving?

The other one is Notre Dame. It's over Thanksgiving break. We play at Notre Dame and at Northwestern and then play the other two games in the Sears Center.

ODU Fan here...

I know it's still early, but I like to plan my road trips ahead of time. Where is the best place to eat a sit down dinner near LU? I visited the Golden Corral last year, but it wasn't the best. Suggestions please...

Looking forward to a good game...

I'm still partial to Shakers on Candlers Mountain Rd. It is old school now but still has good food and atmosphere. Texas Inn, Ruby Tuesdays Applebees, and Buffalo Wild Wings are all within 2 min of campus.... Look me up after the game and you can go eat with us as an honorary flamefans member. Wear red though haha....I'll be at press row of course calling the game on Flames Television.

That's all it takes to get a dinner date with Scar????? T-man, you're too easy. I was fearful that you might offer the ODU newbie some of Mrs. Scar's famous cookies after the first post. I'm shocked and a little disappointed.

However, when I come in town for a hoops game, we'll go old school and I'll pay for your dinner at Shaker's. (Condition: You have to bring some of Mrs. Scar's cookies)

Thanks Scar. I'll do that. I'll get more info from you as the time draws near.

BTW: I love Cookies!!!

Sum,

I didn't know you got hooked on those cookies too. That is too funny. She made a batch yesterday and I took a few to work and got rushed. As far as the post game meal, if you are buying, Im in my friend! Ask the LuNatics how easy it is to get a dinner date with me. I Like food as it turns out :P

Ok well I guess I have to rescind the offer unless you get your post count over 100 on here by Nov 19th  :P

Wow, Shakers. I haven't been there in years. The way things are around here, I'm surprised they're still open. "Old School" would probably be a good way to describe the place unless it has changed. They must have a reliable clientele of repeat customers, because you never hear about the place any more.

Um, what about me? I actually went to LU and have 93 posts on here to date?! I even told my LU story about dropping stink bombs all over campus. :)

It has been renovated a few times. It seems to have been recently. I usually see folks I know when I go in there. Liberty is still very good to them I would say.

Shakers is one of my grandfather's haunts. He used to bump into Doc there frequently the last year or so before he passed on. But then again, we are steering very far ...

One of my favorites, as well. It is nice that a local restaurant can keep their quality as well as the chains for the length of time Shaker's has. The company has been a customer since they opened up in the late '80s. Actually, I saw you there after a football game last year; had I not been with my family, and you hadn't had 5-6 groupies sitting with you, I would have introduced myself!

Sorry- I get warmer feelings thinking about Shaker's than about the prospects of our upcoming schedule. Not wanting to be a downer; I see us having decent prospects come conference time.

You should have come over and said hello Rogers. I wonder who I was there with that day? I didn't realize I had groupies! Cool  Naw probably my wife, sister in law and friends.

As for the schedule it will be interesting to see if coach Layer makes a lot of changes or keeps things the way they were right before Ritchie headed up 29 North.

Sold!! Shaker's it is.

As it turns out, my brother-in-law, a LU grad, used to work at Shaker's. Everyone I talk to says it's good.

Looking forward to a good steak with Scar and some LU fans.
