I'll put 50 cents of my centsports.com money to wager that Kyle Ohman will NOT be our leading scorer next year.

I'll bet he takes the most shots....

... and Im thinking about betting he has the worst field goal percentage for people averaging over 5 or 6 shots a game because hes going to feel obligated to take shots being a senior, I have faith in his 3 ball, but if we see runners, stuff off the dribble, or anything besides a set shot from behind the line we might be in trouble... Hope Im wrong though

If Minaya works on his D so he can get more playing time I wouldnt be surprised if he led in scoring

Someone please fill me in on Minaya. I must have missed all the buzz. I'll look for his thread.

I wouldn't be shocked if Jesse wound up among the top scorers this year without the need to distribute to Ant & Seth.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if our leading scorer averaged 13ppg. I could see Jesse, Kyle, Minaya, and a newcomer all averaging between 9-13 ppg.

OK, I'm depressed now. haha. With that in mind, what would a team average look like? An with that in mind how bad does the record look?

I think we will struggle big time out of conference, but should compete for the 3rd or 4th spot in conference.

Well Minaya went to a really good basketball high school in Florida, he averaged something like 25 ppg and 10 rbs. He transfered here from Tennesse Tech. He is a lights out shooter (He beat KO in a shootout, although KO beat him in other ones too) He can hit shots right and left handed. He needs a little work on his D but he should be good.

Any other year, we've got a 6th place team but the conference is going to be really bad this year so you may be right. It's funny because everybody lost so much that WU might be competing this year which would bring some heat off of Peele. As much as I'd like to see WU sink into mediocrity as fast as possible, I want them to hang on to Peele.

This is Very much correct. Minaya is a pretty good defender already though... and If we are counting minutes based on how great of defense is played I dont think we need to worry about KO being the leading scorer :D I kid I kid

Would you rather have 3-4 guys averaging 12 points with the ability to go for 20 on any given night or two guys averaging 18 and a third averaging around 12? Yeah, it's the same amount of points, but I'd much rather have it spread out than basing it off of two guys. If one of those guys has a bad night, you're screwed. If it's spread around, you don't lose nearly as much on an off night.

Balance is better by far i agree. But if the average of the ballance is too low it can hurt too especially against teams with a guy who can put in 30-35 per night. I think we will be great in the long run, but parts of 09-10 could hurt.

Ok, I'll change it: We're not going to be playing against very many guys that can put in 30-35 a night. And if we do play against someone like that, let him get his points and stop everyone around him. I'd much rather have a balanced team than a superstar one man team.
