ESPN.Insider.com: He avoids the paint as if it contained an infectious disease
That was dated July 2008, hopefully he's gotten over that....

ESPN rates him a 93...and the 15th best PF in the 2010 class.

He would be quite a snag indeed. Sly should know something about him. He's like one of the best players in Texas.

LU was recruiting him while RMK was here but RMK didnt think LU had much of a shot, Now DL comes and they were in the mix too....great Christian kid and with the Marquette & LU connection means some think LU is at the top of his list.

We need to get the Sanders boys to call him. It would be great to get a high scoring 2 guard and solid 4 in the same class. (and from the same state, too)

that could have been a direct quote, good job TTL, bravo!

we do need this guy, looks to be a steal if everything is true that i have read about him, hopefully he will only get better as well

I wasn't sure if it was a direct quote or if TTL made it up. Put "teh" in that set it off.

Yes I probably would have wrote that TTL...

Anyway, I agree with everybody that says this would be a major pickup. This kid is getting offers from teams in some pretty stout conferences so to score this kid in our recruiting class would get some notice

If we land this kid it will be great, I highly doubt it will happen

Not being close to the situation, I'd say our chances are decent. We're getting him on campus. That's huge. How many guys do we reach for that never get that far? A lot most likely. The only downer is he'll be here while it's a ghost town. You need to attend a game (fball or bball) to fully appreciate the LU experience.

Our coaches in all of the sports say that getting a kid on campus is the most important thing. Once we get kids on campus, our chances jump up a ton. We have so much to offer on campus that a lot of kids walk out of here loving it.

Your pretty smart...they will be playing AAU together this weekend and he's been in his ear quite a bit.

Do I think this is going to happen? Not sure, I'll have a good idea after Monday...he fits the mold to a T though and he's "very interested" and wants to go to law school after his under grad.

It is a "Dead period" right now though meaning the coach's cannot show him around, however the red carpet treatment will be in full force.

Perfect timing--a Texas BBQ place just opened on Boonesboro, Pok-E-Joe's.

Pok-E-Joes has gone franchised? We don't have any in Houston that I am aware of. It is not exactly highbrow BBQ but their sandwiches were always great that they gave us at UT baseball games back in the day at Disch-Falk Field.

As for this kid, there are reasons why we have had a great success historically recruiting in San Antonio. Coach Dunton used to have summer camps at Hagee's Cornerstone. Even without having all of the details on this situation (which I don't), I wouldn't dismiss this out of hand.

This place is VERY VERY good...they were wanting to come out to the Hillcats so they made all of us quite a few tray's worth of food...hands down the best BBQ I've ever had

They didn't do a gigantic business at their standalone shops in Austin. But they did booming business at the ballparks. I would encourage anyone to give their sliced beef or chopped beef a try.
