Myron Guillory enters his second season with Colorado State basketball and assumes the duties of recruiting coordinator in 2006. Guillory brings expertise in recruiting and scouting as well as instruction to the court for CSU this season.

Guillory, a native of Lake Charles, La., was a standout basketball player for Virginia Tech during the mid-90s, helping the Hokies to the 1995 NIT Championship and the 1996 NCAA Tournament second round. While playing with the Hokies, he led Virginia Tech to its highest ranking in school history (8th) in 1996 and helped the team to a school-record 25 wins in 1995.

He was also a standout prep player at Barbe High School in Lake Charles where he earned honorable mention All-American honors, was a two-time all-state selection and was a four-time all-district first team player.

Guillory's coaching resume began at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he was an assistant coach for the Colonels while handling recruitment, travel and film exchange.

Following his time at NSU, Guillory served as an AAU head coach for the Boo Williams Summer League where his duties included fundraising efforts for the league.

In 2002, Myron received a coaching position at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., where he spent three years. While at Campbell, his focus was on recruiting, scouting, instruction and overseeing team academia. He was also a coordinator for basketball camps for the Camels.

Guillory has a solid academic background as well, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Nicholls State.

Myron and his wife, Courtney (Ottley), are the proud parents of a son, Mason Chase, who was born on July 3, 2005.

I believe Ovie Soko would fit in that category. Probably irrelevant for next year anyway with his clearinghouse issues.

I thought Eaker would have stepped into the 2nd assistant, but apparently not.

So, you're telling me this guy is coming in at #3?

He already was the second assistant.

1 - Soucie
2 - Eaker
3 - Getter

That's right, I forgot, but I don't see this guy coming in at #3. If he is then kudos to Layer.

Could be this guy is the 1, Eaker is the 2, and if we get Nwoso he'd be the 3.

Word is Eaker is 2...which I think might be the hold up with Lundy

That's what I'm hoping for, but HMO is trying to convince me that Lundy is coming here.

I don't see Lundy coming here unless he's #1.

No, when I say 2 I meant 2nd in command...as in top assistant...sorry for the confusion

I think that would be a given, and rightly so. I know we have had fun with the way his teams have, shall we say "not risen to the occasion" in big games, but the guy has a resume with a lot of head coaching experience and a reputation as a top notch recruiter. Guillery and Eaker may be better in some areas but on paper they don't come close to matching his qualifications.

I would see a Lundy hire as similar to McKay hiring Layer. He already had his main man Soucie, but had a chance to bring in a coach who was essentially overqualified. I don't even know who was 1st and second assistant between the 2 and I don't know that it matters. I think it would be the same with Lundy and Eaker.

Anyway that Juice would be DBO

If he wants to come to LU as badly as everyone says, I would think he would accept the job, which of course would mean Matt Olinger would be looking for work. It just comes down to who Layer wants.

Been confirmed...however I could see that changing if the right person gets hired or has
