Hey guys! Marquette fan here. Was very bummed to see Dale get the Liberty job...really thought he was a key piece of Buzz's staff and his experience was huge.

Anyway, I see Soucie went to Virginia and another assistant to VCU (I believe), and he retained one of McKay's assistants. Anybody know who Dale will replace them with? There was some talk over on the MU boards that Bart Lundy, formerly the HC at High Point, may be Dale's replacement. But it also sounds like the two of them have a long history and Lundy may be coming to Liberty. Just wondering if anybody knew anything.

Not much news (or any news for that matter) on our vacant assistant position so I have no idea which way Buzz will go with it.

Yeah, Lundy's name has been tossed around a little, but other than that we don't know much. (And if someone does know it they haven't told me yet).

In his news conference coach Layer had hiring the rest of his assistant coaches as his third priority after retention of current players and recruiting, so I don't think he's in a huge hurry, but I'm sure he's working on it.

Did anybody see Rell Porters status on FB? Someone made him really mad at LU. I would post it on here but its pretty bad. Larry Blair commented on it and his comment was backing up Rell. I dont know what LU did to LB. Rells a really nice guy so somebody must have made him really mad for him to put that up.

I know Dale has talked to Nwoso. I helped the 2 get in touch...Juice brings so much to the table besides just getting Nigerians. He coaches the Jr National team and assists the National Olympic team. He puts in the defenses for his team now that is in the playoffs in the Dominican....I think having Juice around would benefit the Entire Liberty Athletic dept. He helped us get our best Volleyball player ever in Antonia and the big south's all time leading scorer I believe in Kisseleva in womens hoops. He could get us soccer players and track runners too. He is a hero and a celebrity in Europe, Asia and Africa! Most of the international players in America know him and look up to him. I talked to Tunji Soroye from UVA and he doesn't even know me or Juice but he talks to Juice on FB everyday asking for advice. He connected with me when Juice told him I would be a good contact...Not to mention he could work with the big men. He could take the 3rd assistant job or at least be a consultant to the athletic dept. Liberty would be foolish not to tap into this alumnus' resources IMHO.

Good work on that SCAR! I would love to see Juice here along with a veteren top assistant like Lundy.

To be honest< I haven't heard much of anything on this front. And that is unusual. Either Coach Layer is playing this all very close to the vest or he is indeed placing his efforts heavily into closing out this recruiting class. Or perhaps it could be a combination of the two.

That's true...Sorry kid. Forgot to give you props....I talked to Juice today and he is playing for his 13th championship in the Dominican Republic! I call him the international Bill Russell. If he comes here, the international connections for playing over seas is endless. He was also telling me how he knows Tony Parker's dad really well from playing in France and how TP used to get Juice's autograph when he was 8 or 9 years old! If he doesn't get on at LU he is going to coach somewhere internationally probably. I need to dig up his resume' that Greg Popovich helped him put together and forward it to DL.
