April 15th is now less than 48 hours away, but as Super has said many times, it's a signing period, not a signing day. Once the names and stats start trickling in, put your comments here.

As for potential suitors if Soko decides to open his recruitment, Huckaby acknowledged his phone has been ringing a lot the last couple of days. But he hasn’t answered.
“The only reason I took this call,” he said, “was because it was a local number.”

Keeping Soko is a must because he is the highest rated prospect on our board. It would be a shame if he went elsewhere, but it is what it is. Unsigned recruits tend to leave sometimes because of the anxiety factor of dealing with a new coaching staff. I just hope the University as a whole would convince Soko to stay on board...I'm sure Coach Layer has already talked to him though about staying on.

What are we expecting? Correct me where I'm wrong:

- Vander Pol is a given and will be on our team next year.
- Chris Perez, a SG from Florida, looks like he's still interested in attending.
- Ovie Soko gave us a verbal and his commitment is up in the air after the Curry/McKay debacle, but still is likely to wind up at LU.
- We have one scholarship left after this and we're looking to make a splash, although we might use it on a transfer.
- Jesse Sanders is leaning towards returning next year
- J.C. Sanders will be joining our team in '010.
- Seth Curry tried to join Duke's women's team, but they said he was too much of a fairy to play women's basketball.

Everything there looks correct.

Have we heard anything about John Caleb or are we just assuming that he'll still come as long as Jesse's still here?

It is also quite possible that Layer has a player or 2 he likes better than the verbals we have now.

There are times you need to be dissed, and that is often

How are you "Duke people?" You're seven. The only way you can be considered "Duke people" is if you went to school there or you're a booster than and you're way too young to be either.

it would be refreshing to read a thread that does not turn into a discussion about duke or unc or why one is better than the other

That's not what I was trying to start. I would've said that to anyone, of any team, who made that statement.

It wasn't a slap at Duke, it was a slap at Seth. I shouldn't be so mean to Seth, he's so... delicate.

That kid is going to fold faster than Superman on laundry day the first time he plays at a place like Maryland.

if John Wall makes a decision during the signing period, expect him to sign with Kentucky.

We have 3 verbals at this point: Ovie Soko, Bo Barnes, Chris Perez.

After that we still have one scholly available.

And is John Caleb able to sign starting tomorrow or is that not until the fall?

I don't think he can sign this period unless he's going to play next year. I could be wrong though.

I still think Jesse is 50/50 I dont think he is leaning one way or the other...this is a huge week for us though as far as Jesse is concerned

And yes, JC will go where Jesse does...and that really does help us out...package deals are a lot harder to make happen if you were not expecting them

It may be wishful thinking, but as the choice for Jesse evolves from the "stay or go" stage to the "where do I go" stage, I think the pendulum will swing in our favor. I'm sure he'll have options as far as basketball is concerned, but there really isn't much of a choice that combines D1 basketball with a similar student experience to LU.
