Ok, I was joking in the other thread about former UA coach Mark Gottfried but now...please, not David Hobbs.

I love Avery to death and he lives close by me. I think his head is in the NBA game.
The first name that comes to mind for me is one of Ritchie's friends, Willis Wilson. The longtime Rice coach is a outspoken Christian who has demonstrated loyalty to a smaller program despite many opportunities to go to higher profile gigs.
Let me point out that our opening is much more attractive today than it was when Ritchie was hired based on our your roster that has already proven that it can win.

This is tough because most coaches who are fairly young, good and ambitious aren't going to stay here long. That leaves fairly old, not-so-good, and/or not ambitious.
People like Carey Green are the exception to that, but those types are few and far between. You always hope you can find someone that is good and wants to be in a Christian environment and will stay for a decade or more. But that's a rarity. Most likely we'll get the guys using us as a stepping stone or an older coach looking for a retirement job. But there are always those exceptions.

Russ Pennell. Former interim coach this year at Arizona taking them to a sweet 16. I know Zona had an easy path, but he stepped in and coached a team that was shattered from the sudden Lute Olson retirement.
Faith is extremely important to him as his family. He would be a great face for the program. Later tonight, I'm going to link some articles on what he meant for Zona and Tucson.
Hear me out on this. You will like this guy. (Record is 1-1 vs Wazzu - Tony Bennet and 1-1 vs. UCLA.)

Maybe CMII can be our head coach and ITB can be the AD...apparently they think they could do a better job than RM and JB

Beej, I think you can stop taking up for RM now.
