When is this going to stop??? I thought he had real potential, just lacked confidence. Man, we better keep Baker!! And Spencer better not take one of the scholarships - we need players and he just isn't good enough.

What's your love affair with him? You hate Carter and Austin but for some reason think Tyler is a God compared to them. He was the worst player on the court in the JMU game. I love the kid and have always thought he had a ton of potential, but he played terrible at the end of the year.

I actually expected this one so no panic here...

Is this for real yet? Good thing he spent his red shirt year already.

Also, there is no way we're not gonna get a scholly penalty.

I don't think this one is by choice.

That's the dirty side of college athletics. Kids get cut every year. I hate it for them. Every coach in every sport at every school does this from year to year.

Oh goodness...can we PLEASE just take a few deep breaths here...its like there's news and all of a sudden everybody starts hyperventilating (well at least proto does) and that is the sort of thing that gets the stupid trolls out and makes me wish I could nuke them til they glow so bright you can see them from 15,000 ft on a cloudy day. Now if this is true, its too bad. Is it the end of the world...no...is it a sign that our coach is terrible...again no. Everybody has their reasons for leaving just like SJ said

Writing was on the wall in the last month of the year. His playing time dwindled dramatically.

And we probably will lose a few scholly's in a few years. But if Brolin and Johnny both land somewhere else and end up graduating, then we should be fine. I think BJ Jenkins will graduate. Seth comes from an academic family, plus he has to sit out a year, so he should get a degree. And Brolin is too good to not land at another school. Hopefully he will get a degree too. Soup stayed here and should graduate. So Johnny is the one guy I am worried about a little bit. Maybe he'll go to a D2 school and finish up...

I just want to see some consistency and having every player leave or get cut doesn't help our recruiting or reputation. Baker is a good player and a senior. He can play, just needs to not get pulled every time he misses a shot. He's tall and athletic and could be a top 3 scorer for us if he was given the opportunity. The guy can shot - he has a better looking shot than Curry ever did. He gets blamed for not shooting when open, but that was because he wasn't allowed to in the offense and was sat when he did.

IMO - Worst player against JMU was Curry hands down!! He cried all game long, he forced his shots because he wanted to get his points, when he could have worked other players into the offense.

I personally dont think this is a reason to start saying "when is this going to stop" be honest...who will produce more, JS or a recruit...it's a toss up....so now which one fits your system better? JS or a recruit...well the recruit b/c you've hand selected them b/c of their game

Well Im sure there are questions and there are stories behind all these that most of us dont know. Im not going to sit here and just say that McKay stinks and we should ahve kept the previous coach and blah blah blah...(this is the part where ITB or rightdirection and CMII comes in and bloviates about how the coach was done wrong by the AD and sob and sob and sob and somebody shows them the door because we are sick and tired of that same sad story and it does more harm to the guy than good to keep bringing it up) Now Im no Kool-Aid guy...all these recent developments certainly are not good but I dont see it as reason to put RMK before the public opinion firing squad

At this rate, we won't even have a team next year! But, I'd rather have guys that want to be here and play like Jesse does. Either way, its been a rough couple days, wow.

LOL...we just finished a 23 win season with the 4th youngest team in the nation and the youngest team as far as minutes played and we're actually discussing this stuff...I know now why some people avoid this place like the plague (FF that is)

So by my count we have one scholarship available and almost every guy currently or projected to be on the team could see minutes in every game. Sounds like as a whole we are getting deeper... Any ideas on who takes this scholly? Sly? Care to elaborate on the hint you dropped earlier today?

Who are you??? I thought we sent you down to Presby??? I don't think my post meant the sky was falling, but again it's a message board and people are entitled to their opinions. Who said anything about McKay??? Come on - the nuke thing again?? Can you please come up with something new - maybe a drowning, a beating, a public hanging...

There is a little news??? Are you serious??? Our best player just graduated, our highest scorer is transferring, our back-up point guard gets cut, Baker is rumored to be next...Oh yeah what are we all worried about?? This is perfectly normal - happens every day. What world do you live in? Don't ever call me out again - you're the one that believed you could be the head football coach at Presby.

Proto, I just think if he was cut...he's got to have a back up plan that he sees as a better fit. No different then Curry have talked to teams to see if they would be interested in his talents...McKay is not going to take a blind leap of faith by cutting a player while having nobody in the wings that he thinks would suit us better

Johnny was a very marginal player, Tyler may be a good shooter, but it must be in practice, haven't seen it in a game. Seth is going to be a special player somewhere. There is a couple of more that I could see leaving as well, either by choice, or with a little help. It happens, not usually at this pace, but we have a new staff, etc. If it would continue at this rate, there may be room for some concern.

It would be very difficult for anyone to say that this year's team was not the best we have had in a long time. I have 100% confidence in RMK and Barbour. We are light years ahead of where we were just a few short years ago in almost every sport. There may be a time in the future where things need to be re-visited, but now is not the time. IMHO.

I really hope this is the end of it. 3 players transferring in 1 years is a bit much. 4 would be ridiculous.
