Brolin was primarily Dale Layer's recruit, but I can't see him getting an offer from Marquette. I wish him well. He brought us some thrills, especially early in the year, but it seemed his role was diminishing as the season progressed.

Tons of potential. I'm sad to see him go. On the flip side it does open up a scholly and breaks up the class a little. Hope it doesn't affect our grad rate too much.

Not a huge loss IMO. Makes it a little more important that we land Soko now as he could be a little more skilled of the same kind of player. Floyd does not have good hands or a J. Seems like we do this every year to one guy or another. Just looking at the team he didnt really seem to fit in with the other guys anyways. I never saw him hanging out or joking around with many of the other guys

I'm sad to see him go, but you guys scared the crap out of me on the other thread when Seth was mentioned. That was not a good feeling.
Good luck to Brolin where ever he lands.

Really? The one time I saw him off campus he was with a few other players and really seemed to be enjoying himself.

Yeah this one completely caught me off guard. I hate to see him go as he was so much fun to watch play.

I was strictly speaking at the games, I am rarely on campus now. I dont know maybe I was wrong, It just seemd to me that he didnt quite seem on the same page the last several weeks with the rest of the team. I could be totally wrong, just seemed like his body language to me was off

He was an exciting player and does have a lot of potential. However as someone stated he has hands of stone, which is hard to overcome. Good luck to Brolin in his future endeavors.

*dumb untrue rumor goes here.

I heard that too but I just don't know about that.
It's a bit of a bummer that he got so much PT and we'll never get to see the fruits of it.

If that's the case, good riddance.
Brolin knew that coming in...if he can't accept it, then move on.

I actually find it hard to believe he would be upset about that. Brolin would have to be totally delusional to think he should have been a go-to guy for us. He has terrific athleticism, but his game has a long way to go.

yeah, lets cool it with the vindictive talk. Good luck to him. Too bad the way things worked out.

I had heard the rumor too, but I would much rather believe he felt the liberty way of life wasn't for him ...Liberty isn't for everybody, which is perfectly understandable

That sucks. Hope you guys get somebody to step up

The press release was about personal reasons. Let's leave it like that. We don't need another three week debate on it like BJ Jenkins last year.

very true...but i mean people are going to debate about this either way...
I will just keep telling myself it was because of the Liberty way of life...it will help me think better of Brolin

He is def on my top 3 that I hate to see go but after thinking about it for 24 hours I'm actually starting to feel better about it...I've talked with a few people and after hearing stuff I'm ok with it. I just hope this doesnt snowball. But I mean let's not make him out to be some scrub now...the kid is built like a man and in 2 or 3 years time he's going to be a tough tough player. I mean we were all over this kid a month and half ago so happy to see him play like he was and while preseason I was pretty high on Bill Weaver I was told quickly he doesnt hold a candle to BF.
This happens those guys and it wont be the last time....it's the nature of the beast

Not a big loss, he was getting benched alot more toward the end of the season. I wish him well. I was wondering where he was tonight

He could've developed a ton, but I just wonder if he would've. Unlike Jesse, Seth, or Austin, he didn't get better as the season went on. Sure, he was the most athletic player on the floor, but he didn't seem to make that improvement the other guys did. Instead, it's almost like he got worse. I don't know what the deal was. Maybe he was just unhappy and not giving it his all, but he was passed by a few guys really quickly and that really surprised me.

Couldn't catch or shoot. If he ever learns either skill he will be a very effective asset to whichever school he decides to transfer to. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Couldn't catch DIDN'T shoot. I remember the first game of the season, I couldn't believe everybody on the floor could shoot it seemed. So I looked it up and sure enough
