Seth and Anthony being 2nd and 1st team surprised me. I thought it'd be the other way around.

Seth on the 2nd Team All-Conference. Didn't see that coming

I can't believe Joey Lynch-Flohr made 1st team, but Seth didn't

And where is Amir Johnson on the 2nd team?

JL-F is reinventing the game of basketball. Who'd have thought to defend with the use of headlocks. Of course he's 1st team.

Congrats to Anthony for 1st team. He's a stud and he's gonna be hard to replace next year.

Recent conference history has the frosh of the year on the second team all conference team. Rarely the 1st and only once POY Tony Dunkin in the 90's.

I would've put Amir Johnson on there before The Big Dash. Maybe he played better against other teams, but he didn't impress me against us.

This is no ordinary freshman. The coaches and media dropped the ball on this one.

Without Amir, they are nowhere. I agree!

That's good to hear coming from you. I think they missed it too.

Can someone argue again that there is no LU hate around the league?

I don't think it's LU hate. I just don't think they wanted to put a freshman on the first team.

I think Seth deserves first team more than Anthony. I don't think we deserve two players on the first team. Radford does. Amir Johnson deserves it more than Lynch-Flohr though.

The Big BS has never been too bright about things like this. (Just look at who we have for a commish, Mr. Zero Personality KK). Seems some people are pre-ordained to become all conference, POY, etc. regardless of performance or lack thereof. A couple of examples:

A couple of years ago when the HP guy gets MVP of the BS Tourney, when they lose to LU by 40+. Even he knew he shouldn't have gotten the award and gave it to the LU guy. (Sorry, some-timer's is kicking in, I can't remember names like I used to). This was the biggest injustice I have ever seen in any sport ever. Can't imagine anyone knowing what a basketball is watching that tourney and giving the MVP to the HP guy.

Back in the 80's Peter Aluma got the Tourney MVP as a senior, we lost the game, but Peter should have never received the award. (I am as big a PA fan is there is/was, just stating facts).

There have been others, but those are a couple of big boo boos I remember. Seth being left off the first team was almost as bad.

As someone said, glad Chris see's it the same way. Gives some credibility to what we know here was a big guffaw by the BS.

I hate that. Why can we not have 2 of the best 5 players on our team just because we're not in first. Just look at the players. Don't factor anything else in.

And to flameshaw, that whole Gathings over blair thing has been explained a million times. It was a flawed system and they promptly fixed it.

I just came by here to make sure everyone was still ok.. Evidently the sky is falling right now & you've been robbed somehow, I'll check back later to see if "Baby Jesus" & his athletic supporters are gonna be ok...

This doesn't mean I disagree that Joey L-F has no business on the 1st team- it's just that you guys are undercutting Anthony Smith value to your team for Seth to be First team- I couldn't disagree more with that.. Seth's just too 1 dimensional (scorer) for that consideration right now- anyone can lead the league in scoring with the green light he gets & the amount of shots he puts up- I haven't really seen Seth make anyone on your team better all year.. Seth may be a better player- but is he better for your team?? I don't believe so..

I just love crying foul on these days. Sorry for my indulgences but I just can't stop after doing it for two decades.

Danny Gaithings.

The funny thing is, Gaithings gave the award to Larry Blair (although the Big South still recognizes Gaithings as the MVP recipient and ignored the entire ceremony, until Gaithings was named the NCAA Sportsman of the year. But the Big South still wouldn't rescind the award).

It's not really a Liberty-bias here, because I think we can agree that we should have had one - and only one - player on the all-conference 1st team. We just disagree that it was Smith and not Seth.
