Other than the seniors to be acknowledged- this game means nothing to Radford's basketball team in the big picture--- I don't coach RU but if I did I would let my team talk how they wanted to approach this game looking at all the factors & saying hey let's come out, play the 1st half & see what we want to do in the 2nd half- last thing you want is to see your team take some kind of undue risk for a game that means nothing to your season..

For arguments sake however, the other factors are pride of course, homecoming, senior night, fan pressure, + you haven't played many games in Dedmon this year with the roof project.. with a mostly upperclass team, that shouldn't really matter- on paper RU's inside presence should just eat the Flames for lunch, Artsiom's size + double-double production & Lynch-Flohr's steady diet of hook shots are a tough match up for most Big South teams in the post... LU will likely go to a zone defense to counter... After Monday's game LU shouldn't worry about whether their team gets up for this game- if they don't respond you Flamefans will be left to this message board because I don't see your team going far if they don't get back on track at least in the motivation department.. I think this is going to be a close game, as much as I disagree with it I think RU will play their starters as if this were any other game instead of playing th first half normally & resting the second half of a game that doesn't mean anything to the Highlanders.. who knows?? The curious thing is will RU test the VMI defensive theory of a pair + 3 defense on Curry, Smith, & KO and make the other's try & beat you.. I'd be worried that that little secret is out that no one else is able to step up...

Also the BS record is (although a record) nothing compared to WU going undefeated in Conference. Do you really think they lose to PC or GW? Not with the team they had.

Is this really Radford's homecoming? It's the last game of the season. Aren't those supposed to be in the middle of the season somewhere? I think we can win this game for the same reason the Colt's used to always lose their final regular season game.

You actually think that our backcourt strength was some kind of secret that just got out?

This team is pedicated on Seth & Jesse. And, it's been that way from the begining. When they get in the flow everything opens up for the others.

When Jesse goes the distance and Seth gets 20, LU is 13-2, and could/should easily be 15-1 without the freakiest of endings at GW and Jesse fouling out against Radford. Leaving us with just a narrow defeat at the hands of #12 Clemson (ACC).

I think last game was a big game for status (league standing) but that Sat Nite is a big game for confidence and tourney readiness. I do not believe we need to win vs Radford, but I do believe it is important that we play well, compete, and stay close in the score.

If we do that, we will be ready to compete in the BS, where anything can happen, given the talent we do have, and assuming that Jesse will be in the lineup.

a new roof w/ steel truss support rather than the old air inflated roof.....new air conditioning system.....new lighting system....and a new court. the next phase will include new video scoreboards and video scorers tables, and a new sound system. down the road, new seating. with the recession and all of the budget cuts, some stuff will have to wait or be pushed back.

I am going + 2. I went to the ODU game, so this trip will seem really short! Anyway, I'd really like to see the team play well before the tourney starts. It would be great to get a little momentum if we pick up a win against Radford. Its been hard to be positive lately, but for some reason I am optimistic about this game, especially if we get Jesse back. And hopefully we'll have a nice showing down there. One of my co-workers is a Radford grad, so I really want to beat them!
