I would say BJ would be a better option than the revolving door at the "5" spot all season between Austin and Brolin... Move Kyle and Smitty to the "Forward" spots and have Seth BJ and Jesse as the "guards".

Seems like a pretty beast team to me.

I believe that would be horrible no offense we would be fast but really teams would kill us on the boards and on the inside more so than they already do! BJ would definitely be the most amazing 6th man in the big south but thats it IF he was still here.

You do realize that BJ was one of our better rebounders last year, right?

Between Smitty, Kyle, Jesse, and BJ we would get plenty of boards. It's not like Austin or Tyler pulls down a ton of them anyways.

Maybe not under McKay since I think they had their differences, but if you started our best 5 then yes, he would start.

After Jesse signed on, BJ's options were limited and basically a battle for playing time with Stephene.

Mike Lewis was supposed to add quality depth at the point, but that fell though. Anderson getting hurt took away another scoring option and solid team player. And Sammy Jackson could have been the answer to Brolin's struggles. Those three would seem to fit our needs more at the moment.

That said, this team has really risen to the challenge, given the depth situation. I think that Jesse being out is just too much right now, especially this late in the season.

You need to think before you type dox. Jesse and Bill Weaver are only here because Lewis and Jackson are not. There's the little matter of scholarship limits. I think we all agree Jessed was an upgrade. No way of knowing if Jackson would have helped us more than Weaver has.

I stand behind everything I said. Room would developed for Jesse, regardless. McKay wanted him badly. You don't pass on a player like Sanders when he becomes available.

Also, I compared Jackson to Floyd, not Weaver.

I talk to BJ like once a week, i really wish he was still playing here. And i think he would definitly be one of the top 5 players on the team this year.

BJ toughness is only matched by Jesse. They would both be in the mix.

No doubt that bj wouldn't be on of the top five but does he fit in the starting lineup we have now and that's no ben gordone one of the top five players on the bulls but comes on off the bench cause he fits better there

He'd be the best 6th man in the BSC

I'm gonna say that if Jeremy Anderson hadn't been injured, he could have legitimately been a top 6th man in the league.

At barely 6ft, if even that, BJ is strictly a backcourt player. If he were out there taking 20+ minutes away from Seth & Jesse, then I think that he hurts us more than he helps us on many levels, including the win column.

Jeremy, on the other hand, can play multiple positions on this team, is an outstanding 3pt scorer, and is hard-nosed and team oriented. In my opinion, he makes us better.

Cmon man... you just don't make sense some times.

NO one said he would take minutes from Seth or Jesse. And if he did take minutes from Jesse it would be the 10 he usually sits out anyways.

And Jeremy "plays multiple positions" in the fact that he can shoot threes no matter what you put him in as?

Dude can't defend the post, doesn't rebound, and doesn't ball handle. What positions does he play? He's a shooter. He plays the 2 or 3 and shoots and scores. Thats his job. BJ did way more than that.

I think without a doubt JA would be a top 6th man...can you imagine Seth kicking it out because of a double team to a wide open JA? A spot shooter is all we need right now and everything changes

No offense to BJ, but you didnt miss him until Jesse got hurt. BJ would obviously be getting significant time if he was here, but it is a testament to the player that Jesse is for us to have forgetten about BJ until now.

JA is a great player... love what he can do.

But to imply that he can play multiple positions?

BJ would out assist and out rebound JA by 2 or 3 times every game, and has the potential to score just as much.

I'm done arguing this tho, lol. Some of you guys just don't value BJ the way some of the rest of us do.
