Big South games that affect us

There is still a lot of ball to be played I wanted to keep an updated thread about BSC games that may affect us in the standings...any upsets or key games to remember to keep an eye on.
Basically any games that will affect us should be mentioned only (hence why I'm putting it in our forum instead of Non-LU)

are you listing them or do you want us to do the legwork for you?

Presby-VMI tonight certainly does I would think, VMI-Radford (in Lexington) later this week. We are two up on UNCA for the #3 seed with three to play in conference. Here are the games left:
LU
@ Coastal Carolina 02/16 (previous meeting LU 68-55)
vs. VMI 02/24 (coming off the BracketBuster game) (previous meeting LU 91-80)
@ Radford 02/28 (previous meeting RU 94-82 2OT)
UNCA
@ High Point ( previous meeting UNCA 61-59)
vs. Coastal Carolina 02/21 (previous meeting CCU 64-57)
@ Presbyterian 02/28 (previous meeting UNCA 68-58)
We secure a home game in the first rd with a win in one our final three games. We secure the #3 seed with two wins OR a UNCA loss in their final three conference games
Another game of interest is Coastal @ Winthrop 02/28. chances are the winner of that game will face LU in the Vines Center in the first round of the Big South Tournament in a few weeks. Winthrop has a 1/2 game lead on Coastal going into this week.

Radford at VMI this Saturday at 4:00.
Barring the unforseen, we are Radford fans for a day, as if we win out and RU beats VMI, we will have the second seed.

If we end up the 2 seed we would then get the loser of Winthrop-CCU in the first round most likely

Other than our 1st round matchup there is little difference between a 2nd or 3rd seed in terms of the tournament. If the seeding hold up 2 and 3 meet on a neutral court either in Radford or at VMI.

we'll either play VMI at Radford in round 2, or we'll play Radford at VMI. IF of course we win the first game.
Still Praying for a Miracle...

That somehow, someway CSU beats Radford. Was ticked that UNCA can lead all of the game except the very end.... AHHH

I think the point of this thread was to discuss games that we are NOT involved in that would affect us. I think its pretty readily assumed that all those games affect us (hence my mentioning them a few posts ago)

If the top seed(s) lose in the first round - and they were ahead of us - do we get the semis and finals at home?

Semis no (those go to the home of the reg season champ). Finals...yes

Assuming Radford won tonight They are now up a game and a half on VMI with two to play and VMI is up 1/2 game going into the matchup at Vines next Tuesday night

A High Point win over U...UN...UNCA tomorrow will clinch a top three spot for LU.
So I would say that game affects us a little.

We control our own destiny for 2nd place. If we win our last 2 conference games, we are assured of the 2nd seed. Not bad considering we were once 1-3 and had 0 road wins in conference.

I read that we have a 1st round home game no matter what...is that correct?
