I'm always impressed when I hear a high school player has a job. School, sports and work is a tough juggling act, and I suspect a lot of jocks think it is beneath them to work at a fast food place.

Haha, I actually refused to work at a fast food place...which is why my HS job was at Barnes and Noble. And yes, school, work and sports is a tough routine, but its doable.

no but they should. In highschool I had a match paused three hours because i was charging the net as the other guy hit his shot, and i caught it in the balls and puked up a little blood, then ticked a little blood. Came back and won though

That is just WAY too much information!

Didn't need to know that qks.
However, they should also wear nose guards...I broke someone's nose smashing a ball into his face during a high school match one time, and thats how I beat Preston Lemmon, who now plays for VTech. For the record, it was not intentional, and I felt bad after it happened (and great after I got on the van).

I played against Preston Lemon in HS. It was doubles, He went to North Cross, We lost. He was the first player I played against that would serve it into my body. Needless to say, I am no A train quality of tennis player.

you want too much information???....that kid's high school coach, who is quoted in the article, is one of my good buddies growing up. he was also a basketball teammate of mine at martinsville high school. so there's your VA connection...

EDIT: having reread the article...it's actually the rival west mecklenburg coach that is also quoted that's from martinsville. i tried...
