I would have put us ahead of Navy and American.

I think WE would have put us in front of a few of those teams...but really IMO it only matters what those outside the bubble think we're at....since our goal is to make a tourny one day and they will either decide if we do or dont or if we win the BSC Championship then what seed we get

That poll is crap. It's done by the media heads in DC. They have never given us our proper respect.

While I agree with your statement my only question is what "media heads" ever have given us respect? Very few...we all know we have to do more then the other person just to get as much credit...but that's what I'm saying...it doesnt matter what we think...it matters what they think...perception is reality and we're only as good as they'll give us credit for
hopefully we'll do enough where they have no choice but to give us credit....but they'll stack the odds against us with a poor seeding or not getting invited to tourny's etc and one day we'll over come those odds and open eyes...we're slowly chipping away at that wall they have put in front of us...but we have a long way to go

I guess they don't include VMI in their area, which is strange. Radford I understand, although it's only a few miles further away from DC than VT.

OK, now I see that the have VMI 5th. On the linked page it was sort of tucked down in a corner. Same with Radford at 18th.

Yeah I'm not sure why they had them broken down the way they did with only a few teams per page but the print page made it all on one

The week that poll came out after we had beaten GMU and UVA, we were not even ranked in the top 11 while both of those teams were in the top 4. The have a hard on for G'town, Maryland, and GMU in DC

We were as high as 6 until we lost @ Presby. Then we were at 7 until the Radford loss. They have actually given LU some very positive press, and probably will give us more when start out 10-0 next year! Our conference wins won't help much unless we beat Radford and VMI.

We don't beat Radford, we don't get respect.
