How many teams will make it?

Ten in the conference, minus Presby. That makes 9. But I remember a few years back when we had 9 in the conference, only the top 8 made it and the bottom team was left out.

Only 8 make it.

OK. So Presby and the last place teams are left out.

So if the tourney season ended today we would have:

8ChuckSouth at 1VMI
7Coastal at 2Radford
6Asheville at 3Liberty
5Winthrop at 4GW

Neutral court

An hour away from both schools (hour ish at least)

In the loudest arena in the conference

I would love it.

With the winner knowing they would either play VMI at Cameron Hall in the finals or play at home in the finals.

sicker

And to know we'd have a chance to play the 3rd team on the court with the one guy that causes havoc every time we see him...Bruce...oh yeah

Seriously though, I don’t know if we’re going to beat both RU and GW out for 3rd. Right now RU is 7-2, GW 6-4 and we are 6-4.

RU’s remaining schedule:
@ GW
@ WU
vs. PC
vs. CCU
@ UNCA
@ CSU
@ VMI
vs. HPU
vs. LU

GW’s remaining schedule:
vs. RU
vs. LU
@ VMI
@ UNCA
vs. HPU
vs. WU
vs. PC
vs. CSU

GW has 6 of their final 8 games at home. I don’t see them going any worse than 6-2 in those games. That would put them at 12-6.

I don’t see RU going worse than 5-4 in their last 9 games. If they go 5-4 they would finish 12-6.

That would mean we would have to go at least 12-6 to get in the top 3 which means finishing 6-2.

But like I said earlier, one game at a time.

So you're giving GW all of their home games despite the fact that the first one on the list is Radford? Or do you think they'll beat UNCA at UNCA?

OK...would the esteemed members of this panel rather be playing VMI in a 1-4...or RU in a 2-3 match-up?

I would rather take my chances with VMI.

RU in a 2-3. It would be on a neutral court.

The may slip up on one of them, but if they do they could very easily win @ UNCA. I mean look at their last few home games: HPU, PC, WU, CSU. I don't think they'll lose there. They may lose to us or RU, but between those 2 and @ UNCA I like their chances of going 2-1.

Granted we're playing like sh_t right now at home- but we already beat G-W at their place.. I seem to remember a time where you guys easily granted a victory by LU at UNCa- how'd that work out??

Yeah...that's more like it kingaling.

I remember always coming up here with UNCA and it be an absolute war with the Flames. Of course, back then, they would cut the heat back at night and it would be about 55-60 degrees in the Vines.

RU in a 2-3. It would be on a neutral court.
They already beat us at home. We just don't match up well with them. I'd take vmi.

Just like in '07 when we beat VMI twice in the regular season. I was hoping we would play them in the first round, and I got what I wished for
