Officials

It's been said by someone in the program that he hates Saturday night games b/c ACC and others are all playing and we always will get bottom of the barrel officials.
Tonight was no different...awful doesnt even do it justice. There were 3 stoppages that took at least 4 minutes. I've never seen so many breaks in momentum in my life.
I wont even talk about the Horsecollar tackle that should have been at least a 15 yard penalty and first down. That happened at a very very big point in the ball game.

I watched portions of the game on "The EDGE" tonight. The only thing worse than the out of bounds call while missing the Latrell Sprewell mugging was the feed from the EDGE. The team needs to move past this. This isn't the first time that referees influenced a game, but good teams will ultimately rise above it. I think our guys played well and will be more prepared throughout the season because of the tough loss tonight. Regardless of the calls by the referees, RU got it done. If Scar was correct and video proved that the player never stepped out of bounds, I hope there is a review done by the BS conference.
Don't lose sleep gang, it's still middle of the season. Good things are coming.

Sure the little Eunuch is happy...it was a great show with a great crowd on regional TV. It makes him look good. We all know better.

If I commented on the refs right now it wouldn't be LU or FF friendly, so I'll use my better judgement and refrain until tomorrow.

I wish we would have known he was there... the LUnatics would have let him know what a Bad man he really is...
On a side note... On the raping of Brolin on the baseline tonight, when they showed it on the screen McKay went after the ref fired up and mad... and I liked it, A LOT... Good to see the fire in him. Im 100% serious it was amazing. Is there any way that we can not give the officials water during the timeouts when they suck as bad as they did tonight? The only way it could have been anymore rigged is if that Gambling NBA ref would have been there in a Radford shirt.

What I will say now is, there was some RU fans sitting 2 rows in front of me. I seriously considered grabbing the guy's RU hat and meandering down onto the court and slipping it on the black ref's head.

if you think they were bad, go to a D3 game or HS game. i've seen refs at D3 games not signal a shot clock violation when the team didn't even attempt a shot after 35 seconds. at a HS game i saw them call a back court violation when the team handed gotten even one foot or the ball in the front court, and you need all three to be in the front court before it can be back court. i would gladly take the refs from the game tonight compared to the pre-school caliber refs you get at a lot of D3 games, sure there are some good ones, but it's few and far between.

I told Bruce (the black ref) that just because Obama was president it didn't mean he had to quit his job.

Also notably absent was the lack of makeup call following. I saw those little bastages looking at the replay. They knew what they had done.

Yea...they definitely saw it.
But on a related note, I thought that controversial calls/no calls were not to be replayed on the TV screens?

I made a reference to that at the game. I yelled at him to say hi to Tim Donaghy.

i made reference to them gambling along with a few other things i probably could get in trouble for so i won't repeat, but i think these refs were already known to be bad before our game. when the tapes are sent in to the head offials that watch them, don't be suprised if some time of reprimand is issued.
also, props to coach for not saying anything in the postgame about the refs. your a better man than me

It sucks to lose, it sucks to lose to Radford, it sucks to lose to Radford at home, and it sucks to lose to Radford at home because of lousy officiating.
But let's keep in mind that it's a regular season game, not a playoff game... so let's hope that this loss fills our players with enough tick and vinegar to ensure that it won't happen again.

there are not enough curse words to express how angry I was/am at the officiating...
with that said...we could of put this game away but kept letting them come back, when you do that this is the kind of thing that happens..lesson learned i hope
