This kid deserves his own thread. While Seth and Anthony are our best players, and Brolin can definitely put up some highlights, Jesse is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The guy works his butt off the entire time he's on the floor, rebounds like crazy, and is just good. I wasn't expecting much out of him after seeing practice but after watching the last three games, I'm definitely impressed.

sign me up for his fan club. this guy is tough as nails and is a leader on the floor!

Assist machine, scorer from both long range and down low, and can rebound. And no one hustles more than he does.

Didn't know if you guys knew or not, but he was named a captain before the season.

Ryan Mantlo Jr....keep in mind Mantlo came in as a Juco transfer while Sanders is only a Freshman....this kid is special and all heart

I think he's even more fun to watch in practice...that kid will out work ANYONE

He had 8 rebounds tonight too. He is huge for our team...

He kept us in the game last night with his hustle plays. He was fun to watch.

Who started chirping about this kid on here about a year and a half ago?

And he is from the same Houston homeschool sports association as Sly Jr. ....

Count me in on the Jesse Sanders fan club. This kid is sooo exciting to watch on the court! He just plays with such heart. Can't wait for Monday's game to see him and the others take care of Geo. Mason!

I think it's great to have guys like him to build the team around. My first game watching was the UNCA game on Tv and I thought he was not going to provide much help. Man did the last week change my opinion of him. I saw all 3 games in person last week and the guy is a "motor". His stats dont even reflect how much he helped the team in those games. The average person who checked the box score would think his best game was the coker game. He tipped and batted so many passes Saturday night that it was ridiculous. Not to mention crashing the glass repeadetly against taller opponents.

P.S. Favorite play so far was the fake under the rim wiht about 8 minutes to go against W and M after he got an O rebound and then went back for the layup.

Talk about building a team around a Sanders...I hear his brother is the real deal

Which brother, HMO? The one who just graduated from G-W who was an honorable mention All-American or the little brother who is a junior here in Houston who has committed to the Flames?

Is this also from Homecoming? Because everytime I see that kid I always think I remember him from the KidZone.

Yes, that is from Homecoming and my boy was at the KidZone at the football game.

The scary thing is, he's only a freshman. Imagine just how good he's going to be once he's in his third and forth years in this offense?

This kid is abig of a kick of toughness, grit, and tenacity I have seen in an LU (Baggy) uni in a long time.

He really has impressed me too. No if he can just get some Tats and shave his head - so we can get the Mantlo chants going again:)
