KO's P.T.

I am a firm believer that K.O. should get his minutes cut. In relationship to his skills (all around) he sees way to much of the floor. Plus I for one just dont like the TUDE.
We have guys that can fill it up just as he can, without the tude, and can also play "D". I think that Kyle could play defense as well if he wasnt concerened with getting the
weakside block all the time. I know that I speak for many when I say, "Kyle, please come back, We are tired of K.O."

I'd like to know who you are referring to in the highlighted sentence.
We don't really have that many options til Jeremy and Tyler are available.

I roll my eyes just about every time KO touches the ball, but he does have his role. He just needs to stick to that and quit trying to do so much.

Bill Weaver, Austin Smith, Johnny Stephene, Carter McMasters....
All people I would start over K.O.

I completely agree, just seems to be considerably slower than most of the opposition wiht the ball and when defending. I firmly believe it's in the team's best interest to go young completely this year (other than smith). I dont mind the attitude if you have the game to back it up, I just dont think he has that much game other than the ability to make some open J's. After watching that game on Tuesday I feel like we have no offense other than jump shooting anyway. We are going to have some awful games when the jumpers aren't falling this year.

That's what you get when you run an open post offense!

the problem is when he gets one good play he goes ballistic and thinks he's awesome and then screws up 3 plays. he needs to control his emotions better and play smarter

Here we go, judging our entire season based on one lousy game. Did you all read that the same UNCA team that made us look so bad got embarassed just as badly themselves a few days later by a Campbell team that is not likely to be mistaken for the Tar Heels any time soon? Smitty played horrible last Tuesday too. Should we bench him? I just don't see that any of the Freshmen who are not already starting have done anything on the court to merit starting over Kyle. He has played out of control at times and has too many turnovers, but has done a surprisingly good job on the boards, and say what you will, the guy can shoot. As far as defense is concerned..................... tell me who on this team has played any so far? Seth had a lot of steals against Montreat, but he got lit up at Ashville too.

You and I agree 100% with everything when it comes to KO looking back at your posts and my posts
He was a lot more likable when he was a walk on...then someone told him he could penetrate

thats when the screaming, chest pounding and shirts started coming off like a rock star
PS...he cant penetrate

KO when he penetrates the lane reminds me of me on the basketball court...he can get in occasionally and then once he gets it one time he feels like he can do it all the time. Somebody needs to pull him aside and say "Kyle...what youre doing...isnt why we kept you...you are a shooter...so you need to shoot...and stop showboating...before you did all that the people liked you...now they think youre just plain annoying...and some downright unlikable."

i didn't even watch an entire half of that game, so no, I'm not judging based off of that. I'm judging based off of every game and practice i've seen him in for the last few years. he has been getting progressively more arrogant and out of control. he has some serious talent, but needs to learn how to control his emotions and how to use that talent correctly

So your saying you can take the ball to the hole and you are a shooter? BJ's got GAME!!

No I cant take it to the hole. I dont have that kind of quickness (Im really not that great on the block either)...and I certainly dont think Kyle does either. I mean he was such a great guy when he started on teh team and he came off the bench and hit big threes to spark the offense.

HMO, you are leaving yourself wide open for so many things to be said, but I'm going to take the high road and leave that one alone.

BJ, the secret is to hit them in the shin with your crutch as you drive. It'll open up the lane every time
sorry bj couldn't resist

Kyle played 38 minutes tonight against UVA. Just enough as it turned out.
Hopefully this can be put to rest. He is an important part of this team and will be for the next 2 years.

This is what I like to see from Kyle. This is what he does. He plays his role and fills the bucket and draws charges. Do this every game Kyle and we'll love you. Just please try not to leave your man open for the 3 EVERY single time. Just some of the time. But seriously, this is how you silence the critics. No chest pounding, flexing, etc. Just scoring like a mad man.

Please understand that my problem with Kyle isnt his game (although I dont think he should penetrate but rather spot shoot)...its his attitude. We won tonight b/c of Kyle...without him we would have gotten down within the first 6 minutes by 10-15 b/c NOBODY could score.
As quick as I am to judge him I'm quick to give credit to him as well....but notice tonight he didnt scream, yell, pound his chest, none of the "look at me" actions he's become famous for lately...if he keeps being Kyle we'll love him...hopefully K.O. is in the past
But I did this last year too. The first week I got on here saying how he was my favorite player because he was playing the game the right way and then half way through the season his attitude changed...hopefully it wont happen again. I really want to like him like I liked Mantlo
But we wouldnt have won tonight without Kyle though, thats for sure

I didnt see your post....nice
I agree...just play the game the right way....but this happened the first few games last year too

Tonight was the Kyle that was my favorite player at the beginning of last year. I absolutely loved it.
Kyle was Kyle tonight. He was not KO. The tattoo was even covered up.
As another thread said, welcome back Kyle. We've missed you.
