Chris Lang, beat writer for the Lynchburg News & Advance, joined me on "The Sports Buffet" podcast to talk Liberty Men's Basketball and the Big South as a whole. Chris and I have a spirited exchange on Seth Curry, Liberty's freshman phenom. We also talk about the rest of the league and more with one of the most knowledgable folks around on Liberty and the Big South. Chris Lang on "The Sports Buffet" podcast.

I'm not sure Ritchie is doing anything any different than any coach would. If you get a high recruit, you promote them. It will be Seth's job to just play and shut all the noise out. He comes from a family where I'm sure he is uded to having the spotlight right in his face, and this should be no different. If Ritchie and the Ath. dept. want to use that to generate some excitement, then so be it. It isn't every day you get Dell Curry's son coming to play for you!

Yeah and if you've read any quotes from Seth, he's not shying away from the spotlight rather he's welcoming it.

Exactly. I think it would be disappointing to him if LU didn't promote him a little. I think Seth will be just fine, no matter how much attention he gets. You just aren't going to "put him in a bubble". This is LU, we need a kid like this to promote. If he goes to UNC, then he's in an automatic Bubble on the bench.
