Just a question to the guys picking Radford so high:

What makes them go from 7th to that high this year? Just because they return a lot of guys?

The appeal to Radford has to be their inside game. They have the best guy on the inside, IMO, in Lynch-Flohr and with their big guy--Parakhouski, they could potentially have the best PF/C combo in the league.

I was thinking the same thing. I think they improve a bit, which is why I put them as 5th...but I can't see them much better then that...

If by alot you mean everyone, yes.

That, and
LU is full of freshman and lost 4 starters
HPU is full of freshman and lost the POY
VMI is full of freshman and lost the best scorer in its history
Coastal lost its best player, 5 frosh
UNCA lost its top 3 scorers
GW lost a doubledouble man, but are in the top 3 easy

And
Radford has 2 big guys on the floor at the same time. If they can limit the turnovers(RU, CSU, and Presby are the only teams to have more turnovers than assists. WU had 5 more TOs, so I dont count that). I think with another year of experience they will be able to take care of the ball better and secure themselves in the top half.

Ok, I was just asking. I wasn't criticizing. I know they have a lot coming back, but I don't see them making a jump from 7th to 1-2 just because they have guys coming back. I think they'll be better, but that's a really big jump.

Not only do they return a decent amount of guys, those guys really came on after a really bad start in conference play. They went 5-4 in their last 9 regular season games. Which isn't spectacular but it shows that they started to put something together and normally when something like that comes back the next year, it does even better. But don't get me wrong, I certainly looked for a reason to drop them.

I guess I'll be the first one to pick us...

1. Liberty
2. Radford
3. Gardner-Webb
4. Winthrop
5. High Point
6. VMI
7. CSU
8. Coastal
9. Presby
10. UNCA

Liberty vs. Radford

Liberty

I think this all hinges on how well our freshmen play. If they play like they think they will and Smitty and Tyler both step up and lead our team, then I think we have a legit shot at this thing...

Personally I think you can shake up everybody in a cup and pour them out and yell "Yahtzee!". Even G-W will have a big drop-off without one of the Sanders brothers. Glad we have one running our point now.

I don't know how the year will play out, but I wouldn't be surprised for us to finish middle of the pack, get a first round tournament game, and make a run in the tournament.

I dunno, if that's the case, then Presby and UNCA better be rigged to end up near the bottom. Other than that, I can see that being about right. I have Radford at the top, but could see them 7th or 8th.
