Very true my friend, good summation. Mr(s). RD.........I mean checkmate/south beach will always be here to take shots at the current staff, and that is welcome, contrarian opinion is good. We should not forget how horrible we were last year. We didn't beat anyone with a winning record (may be wrong, but close), the total win/loss record of the teams we beat was miserable, way below .500, lost to some D2 schools. We are headed in the right direction, RM is playing with players he did not recruit, give him a few classes to get his players here, first recruiting class looks pretty good. No one should expect us to go from the outhouse to the penthouse overnight.[/quote]

Why must you make the false assumptions that any challenging opinion comes from a relative of our former coach. You are so sensitive in one direction and ambitiously critical in another. The great part is not all of our experiences are tainted by your attempts to write the history. Your indifference to opposing views have driven some for this forum. Maybe we can become skilled enough to support our university and still disagree from time to time. Your the one who takes the shots. Let's hope we can hold home court.

I think we will have a great chance to beat Winthrop when they come to the Vines.

We must shoot better from the free throw line in order to win next time though.

SJ, I'm glad you had a good crowd at BWW. I wish I could have been there.

Winthrop actually shot worse than we did from the line, but that has been a problem for them for a couple of years now. This years LU team had been shooting FTs fairly well. Those front ends of 1 and ones really hurt when you miss. :banghead

most of our ifs and buts from this game are the same exact ones they have as well. Both teams shot poorly from the floor and from the line. If both were shooting the same percentage, they're still winning and it's all because we sucked on the boards on both ends and they got more shots. How many times did you see the ball clank on the rim and there were 4 white jerseys around the rim to 1 blue, if that. I know we seem to be a perimeter oriented team all of the sudden but we've got to have a couple of bodies to rebound or at least bother their rebounders if we're abandoning that idea altogehter.
