I think you've misinterpreted what's going on here. You're looking at the team we played. We're looking at our own team.

Even so, in our conference, it's not something we really ever need to worry about. We're not getting an auto-bid, so we just need to win and be playing our best ball around tournament time.

I hope it's not something that we don't EVER need to worry about. Hopefully after McKay has been here for a couple years, we will be worried about our RPI for seeding purposes in the big dance when we win the Big South.

Other than that, no our RPI doesn't matter one iota.

I am glad we pulled the win out...the guys did look tired, but like coach mckay said that can be attributed to academics...we all are going through that crap right now as students and know exactly how it feels....

as for the crowd, not extremely happy with them, but it was the biggest crowd this season and it seems to be getting larger every game, that is a very good step....

as for the cheer sheets, it was a good thought....but it went over terribly....I think as a whole we need to stick with the basics....I personally am not a fan of the pass, pass, pass, dribble, dribble, SHOT thing...I don't know why, but it just annoys me...I like the old fashioned OHHHHHH or DEFENSE (clap, clap)....and from my observation the last 2 games I am not the only one that feels that way....when the OHHHH thing or the Defense chant gets started there is much more participation....

I am not being negative, because what SJ and the rest of the guys did last night was great....you have more dedication then I do, and maybe a little bit more time, and that is awesome...don't be discouraged...the students will come around....

One more thing...why could 6 to 7,000 student stand and be loud for an entire football game (over 3 hours), but get angry when you are standing and cheering for your team in the student section during a basketball game??? My brother and I moved down to the forth row once we saw an opening because there were idiots yelling at us to sit down....then when the great cheerleaders were throwing shirts I was so tempted to turn around yell at them to sit down....but i didn't....

ok...this has been one long post...in the end I am just glad we got another win, despite how bad Presby is...a win is a win...

Basketball is seen more of a social event, while football, we're to show up and be rowdy.

The bounce bounce pass is one of our favorites so it's something we'll keep doing it. It's boring doing the other two all of the time.

The only amendment I would make is whenever the player stops his dribble, you do something for that time. It's weird when it's "bounce.. bounce... [silence]"

yeah, thats probably the biggest thing that gets me...dead silence when someone is just carrying the ball...

If something is not catching on I don't think I agree with continuing it...but who knows, it may catch on....

95% of what we do doesn't catch on. It's because our students are terrible right now.

Most schools, when someone is just holding it, does the OHHHHHH. Which sounds pretty good IMO.

true...but the OHHH and defense chant is much louder then anything else that is done (by much i just mean more people participate)....I haven't said anything for this very reason...I knew you guys wouldn't agree so saw it pointless to even say anything...now i regret saying anything

I see the PC win as a typical Big South kind of win, not a real big deal but it is a win and a convincing enough win at that. But I will have to admit I was a little more existed about the Niagara win than the PC win.

I see your point, and that's why we do the other ones. We just like the bounce bounce pass one so we still do it some. There's 40 minutes of basketball. We got plenty of time to do all three.

Anyone remember the good ole days when the students had those LONG collapsible cone time things and when someone would foul they'd all start chanting "You boy you boy you you you" boy those days were pretty crazy!

That would have been so awesome. On par with Seinfeld going to Toby's office and heckling her. It would have been legendary if you got a good response from them.

the good thing that has been happening is that every home game there are more and more students...that is a good sign...hopefully when school gets started again next semester it will continue....and eventually the student body will come around....

If I remember correctly, he had a very promising first game during his freshman year. I think he came off the bench and went something like 5 for 5 with 10pts in only 10 mins. If I'm not mistaken, we opened up at home against New Hampshire that year. So, the homeschooler looked pretty darn good in his first action against an average D-1 opponent.

Unfortunately, it's all been downhill since then.
New Hampshire...by George we have it...Russ would have been a beast in the America East.
