As far as the thing I saw about Winthrop being a little bit overrated... I'm not sure what that is about. Who has them overrated? Sure the Big South is down this year, but Winthrop hasn't lost a conference game yet. All they can do is win the games on the schedule.

I have to agree... I don't think Winthrop is overrated... everyone knows who good they are and if I'm not mistaken they've proved winning more championships like, what, 6 out of 8 years? I think the other teams in the Big South may have Liberty underrated... and they have the right to, we have been very inconsistent over the past few years. We're two games under .500 on the season (.500 in the conf.), but what would that record look like without all those schools we beat up on like Southern Virginia, Cincinnati Christian.

I just hope everyone at Winthrop liked our "Clemson Rejects" sign last night.

I'm glad that my post created some debate but my intent was to point out that some control should be use with the enthusiasm one has for their respective teams and that I would prefer not to play LU at this time,consequently I hope that they remain in 4th place.KOL!!!

Tough game for those who are wishing for the team to go down the tubes, and a good game for those who are
hoping to see good things. It at least says that on a given night, we can compete, and that gives us hope.

I think we should remember that Alex is very inexperienced to be playing at this level, and against the level of competition that he faced vs Winthrop's Big Man. And yes, he is growing as a person, too. Not an excuse (I guess)
just a plea to realize how much he has done so far, while acknowledging that he still has room for growth.

I respect that they have stated that they want Liberty to lose, and since they're not cloaking their wishes, I support their right to say so. I'm not saying I like it, just appreciative that they're telling it like it is.

Hey thats me!!! Anyway i didnt get to watch the game but the team is just sooooo much better than before and now only time will tell if we will show it in the BS. Hopefully we can keep plugging away and improve each game, and with that and if we develop the ability to close out games well be fine this year.

Come on, Scar. The only interest Carter has in LU appears to be collecting a paycheck for butchering names and doing a lazy job on our telecasts. Actually covering the school would require an ounce of effort. And they need to give those DIII games at LC plenty of time.

BJ, your time will come someday. Sly, I won't comment on the work ethic of DC but I will say that I wish Liberty was more prominently featured during the WSET telecasts. I think they should even show some footage from out telecast or at least stay for the final buzzer and post game interviews. They usually leave by half time then they get the final score. I would like to see that change and have the post game press conference as a staple. They could also do a remote report with the announcers and get their final thoughts on the game...We could pre-tape it and play it like it is live like they do on ESPN and Comcast Sportsnet. All those sorts of things give the game and the team more meaning to the community.

I suggested it a few years ago along with a lot of stuff that they have since implemented but that one has not happened yet....They need to bring me on full time to handle that sort of stuff but it won't happen....I don't even think I want it to happen at this point. I am set to move to Richmond full time now I think. I will still do FTN if they allow me to next season though.

I understand that. Im working with my folks to get therapy to help with that. I know I can be a good broadcaster. GMTM has had a chance to hear me and I know I don't have SCAR or Ray Jones smooth baritone on the mike, but I think if given the chance I could surprise some people.

in defense to BJ he has gotten a whole lot better on the air since the first time I have heard him...is he ready to replace anybody doing the Flames broadcasts yet? no, but he is getting better....give the poor guy a break....
