I'd say it about even now. Prior I'd have flipped your numbers but now it seems those 2 don't trust each other let alone anyone else. More chilling it looks like they don't care. I feel sorry for Burrus

Originally I thought it was Sanders but it looks like Marshall's the problem now. I could agree that it may be equal. I think we'll be better off without those two next year, regardless of coach.

If I was coaching I would bench some seniors, if not all of them a couple to get the message out. If they cannot trust each other on the court, they can start trusting each others sitting on the bench.

This doesn't make sense

“I never used profanity,” Layer said. “I was showing too much emotion. But I certainly didn’t say anything I shouldn’t have said to anybody. Still my fault. I should not have gotten two technicals.”

You don't have to swear to get a T :dontgetit He earned and deserved both of them. He's been around too long to not know that. He was on the verge several times before the first and if you rigp your jacket off like he did before the 2nd one it's almost automatic. I have no problem with a coach getting a T, but this explanation is sadly confusing.

I didn't find Layer's explanation confusing at all. He didn't dispute the validity of the call. He just wanted to get it out there that he had not used profanity because a lot of people assume that is the case whenever there is a T on the coach.

Why bring profanity into it at all? It seems he was trying to throw a little justification out there before owning up to it. Does he think that it's less of a T if he cussed? Who cares what he said, his actions, whether cursing or not, earned the T's

You bring up the fact that you did not use profanity because it's LU. It doesn't change the fact that he hurt the team's chances to win, and none of us are happy about that, but for some people out there it makes a difference (and some of those people may in fact be very important.)

I guess I see your point but not sure it was needed. IMO, who cares if you got ejected because you used profanity or not. It would be one thing if the ejection seemed to come from out of the blue but that certainly isn't the case in this one. Again, IMO the issue is the ejection, not whether you used profanity or not. Oh well.

I would have a hard time not wanting to curse at somebody with how this team has played as of late.

All i know is if we want to win any games the rest of the way retic should be running the pt an marshall and sanders split time. Marshall was/has been brutal and shouldnt be spouting off when hes been one of the key contributors to the losses

On any T, it is more how you act in showing up the zebra than if you pull a Crash Davis and call him a cocksucker or not. Also, if you personalize anything it gets you rung up quick, the word 'YOU' is about as bad as the f-word to a zebra.

Then again, I just got back from watching GW rally to beat HPU, and if actions do speak louder than words, that no-good crybaby Scott Cherry would be kicked out of every game before the first media timeout. What a poor example of a decent human being. He learned zilch from Dean Smith on the sportsmanship front, that's for sure.

If you saw when Layer was being escorted from the arena he stopped and addressed someone in the stands. My guess is he may have been answering whatever accusations that fan may have thrown at him. If I have worked my whole life to build a good reputation I would probably take any opportunity I could to clear that up.

:dontgetit not sure how talking to a fan in the stands clear that up.

Getting ejected is not a mortal sin by any stretch of the imagination. My only question is why even bring up profanity. I thought his explanation about being too emotional was fine. But as was pointed out I'm not thinking like a Liberty fan.

Tough last two minutes.

How does Marshall go from the Cinderella Darling to the villain? He probably has his side of the story as well. Rectic was good yesterday. Smith is fun to watch.

Retic needs to be starting at the point, Other than the Costal Teal shoes, he looked good off the bench against Winthrop and did the same thing in the comeback. From what little I've seen he's a team first guy and great shooter when he needs to be. Marshal's tweet proved he doesn't care anymore so sit him for a game and see how much fun that is
