It's KK's love with PPV that keeps it from being there.
He remembers how awesome those closed circuit broadcasts of Ali fights were.

I was listening to the game at home last night with the wife and when York talked about Davon getting that look in his eye, I knew he was about to put on a show and that is exactly what he did. Its like he tried to put the team on his back and everybody else said, "hey now, you cant do all the work" and you saw Gielo contribute, and JR hit a couple nice shots and everybody fed off that. Listening to some of the calls, youd think that Marshall was shooting from the state capital as deep as some of his shots were.

Which ref was a CCU alum? We've had that crew a lot this year and they've been terrible every time. It didn't matter last night since we couldn't shoot, but they've been horrendously inconsistent all year long.

I didn't mean for the game. I meant for the tournament. Don't recall his name off hand. Someone from GW pointed it out.

Anthony Franklin is a Coastal Grad. He does a great job though I think. He has been working Big South games for at least the last 2 or 3 seasons. I talk to him all the time. Joe Forte has zero problem assigning him. This is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. Truthfully I thought Justin Porterfield called the second tripping foul on Trap Speaks because he complained so much about the 1st questionable foul he got a few plays earlier. I think for the most part the officials do a great job. No real moments in the games where you can say a call changed the outcome.

ballcoach I love ya but some things are best left unposted...even Ive had to learn that the hard way...

But a messenger usually has a logical point. Do you not know how officials are assigned and sorted? Coaching for as long as you say you have one would think you already would have known what we already know.

If not, did you hear about that Armstrong fellow on the moon? :dontgetit

Go back to the other page bob...the feeling for the most part (and I'll go out on a limb and suggest that there are those who hadnt posted who felt the same going in last night) was that we would once again lose in the first round and would probably lead to more discussion on if the coach was on his way out or not. I will admit that personally, I certainly didnt like our chances myself because of our lack of success come tournament time in the years since our last championship (before last night, we had lost our first game of the tournament six times since winning in 04, including the last three years). That all said, I was thrilled to find out this morning we had won, and Im hoping that we can capture the same success that we had when we won our first title (which was also in SC)

The other bummer is that if (and I do mean IF) we have both teams playing on championship Sunday, with it being spring break we arent going to be able to galvanize the kind of support we got for the 1994 men's championship (where I think they chartered quite a few buses for the occasion...anyone from that year able to confirm or deny that?)
