I may have to stop watching until we get some big guys back

still wont make up for Liberty's terrible guard play.

There was maybe 50-60 people in the house at the tip at 5 pm local time. Yes, Sam is on their break. Probably 40 of the folks there were in Lu gear cheering on the Flames. I was the guy you heard in the background giving the refs the business.

Without an inside presence we are in trouble. On the upside, I ran into Antwan & Gielo outside the coliseum and Antwan said he should be back on the court next week. We need him badly. Coronado looked confused defensively & tentative on the offensive end. And Sommy looks at every shot as a potential block making him susceptible to the pump fake.

On the positive side, Davon's stroke when he is open in nails. If he doesn't have a hand in face, he will light it up. Midway through the 1st half, Russell Turner came to that observation as well and Davon's looks decreased tremendously. Speaks really showed some spark in spurts.

We have to improve in creating shot opportunities. We have new faces all over the floor trying to get comfortable with each other. Most seem to expect everyone else to take control. Thankfully this is just non-conference and we still have time to work out the kinks offensively. But we desperately need to get one of our three bigs in khakis tonight out on the floor. That will allow our wings to get more open looks.

The Sanders & Donley families were sitting right behind Alan and I was in a far corner by the Irvine bench. The sceond half saw a bunch of older Sam fans arriving to make it more respectable. There should be a much larger crowd for tomorrow evening's game. Although I may have to miss that one due to other obligations.

That's what I was thinking! These guys need to improve in a hurry. We haven't been in any game yet with a chance to win.

Sorry, forgot about that game. Good to see changes are being made to the starting lineup. Let's home we can turn things around tonight against Sam Houston.

JC has a bad groin and saw limited action. JR more productive than Sommy. We should be healthy by the start of BSC play. Hopefully the starters can get a couple games together and Layer can get his 8-9 man rotation in place.
