Cmon guys this is a nice facility! Though it may not be up to your specifications this is a huge upgrade for our basketball programs and we should be happy we have it. I have never seen so much nitpicking. Good grief!

SMOOTH it's not nitpicking. I mean if the main court isn't 94' that's sort of a big deal. The way the 1/2 court is arranged severely limits what you can do with it. It's more of a 'if your going to do it, do it right' thing. Nitpicking would be complaining about the logo at center court or the paint color in the locker rooms

It is set up hinky. Just look at it. I'm open for any explanation for why they did it this way. It makes no sense.
Of course I'm assuming the court IS 94' but if it isn't that's sort of a big miss. It's a nice concept, I'm just confused as to why they did it the way they did it. Especially considering there are BETTER ways of doing it.

I'm no expert but my guess is that it is set up to maximize practice space and time for both teams to be able to practice at the same time without getting in each others way if necessary, you have room for full court 5 man drills while people practice shooting on the side court. OR have 5 man offense running on one court while 5 man defense is running on the other. just an educated guess. plus it allows room for guys and gals to come in and shoot around during non practice hours whenever they want. trust me this facility is a HUGE luxury at our level. Mercer has one practice court and its in the arena. if there is an event going on no one can go in and shoot. just some perspective for those guys knocking the layout.

Yes I agree its a nice thing to have. But when you've got money for a Cadillac you shouldn't be happy with a Pinto. They could have accomplished the same thing with better results IMO,using regular dividers. That way you could section it off to have2 true half courts that can be separated if the teams are practicing at the same time.then have 3 functional courts for camps etc. can't see why everyone is getting so defensive. Geez
