You're a complete retard if you think that was home cooking.

Chris, you should check notes with Ted Allen. I know he has seen games JUST as exciting!! (OK maybe I am biased but I had to give my Lady Pioneers a shout out!!)

Good win. Thanks for the Props SCAR. That is REALLY the reason we won!

No homecooking there. That ball was already through the net before the buzzer went off.

Yeah, sure was lucky for us that they did. What with time left on the clock and all when the ball was released. Heck, they even beat the Shot Clock on the initial shot!

REALLY? I hope you are joking. That wasn't even close. The ball was on the rim when the light went red.

The first buzzer was the shot clock, which was reset on the missed 3. JB clearly got his putback up before the red lights, and before 0.0.

I knew you'd show up just for that shot.
So I'm the only one frustrated by a "three point specialist" who shoots threes as well as (if not worse than) most kids in Lahaye?

I have said over and over that I want him to prove me wrong. He's hit a couple the past few games, but overall, it's just been sad to watch how he's regressed.

I don't think that I want us to play Ashville again in the tourney. We have a tough time matching up in certain positions especially the post. They shoot the ball very well all around. I knew they were going to be dangerous and it is a good thing we played our A game today.

We were nowhere close to our A game in the second half.

He's a 3 point specialist... and a backboard specialist

And before someone (BJ, or whoever) "busts my chops" for being negative, I'm stoked that we won. JB is a special player, and Antwan has been improving this year just like he did last year. And of course, Jesse refuses to let this team lose. However, I would have liked to have seen a better alley-oop pass out of the timeout at the end of regulation from him, the play was executed really well. But, as is the case with this team, we won due to hustle, effort, and the ability to grind out a win despite falling short in other areas (being out shot, out rebounded, and less/worse free throw shooting.).

Our A game stopped when we let off the gas with a 14 point lead at the end of the first.

Our B game stopped when we let them score on 11 of 12 possessions or something like that.

Our C/D game won us this game. Scrappy, not able to rely on much but effort and determination.

No, that drove me crazy too. At least hit the rim....please. From where we were sitting, it didn't look like he had a bad angle, but I'll need to check the replay to be sure.

That wasn't homecooking on the last play..

However, I found it interesting that Sanders got some bump/touch calls in the lane that Dickey did not on drives with Flames players hacking- not blaming it on that whatsoever as I felt the calls were pretty even (refs were inconsistent for both teams) all things considered outside of those differences- so if this thread talks about any calls I would go there waaayyyy before the last play which was the right call as the shot was definitely up..

A great game- UNCA played poorly much of the first half & that was the difference- poor decisions by our ball handlers in the overtime and forcing shots/bad passing allowed LU this win.. 5 on 2 break for UNCA leads to no points & a run out layup for LU- that 4 point swing alone & the 'Dogs win this one.. Good game FlameFans- enjoy!

We were outrebounded- that seems to be pretty rare in the BS conference. Beedenbach (sic) did a good job getting his team ready for this game. The facemask guy has some serious hops- is he the guy that someone from Asheville had bragged on last year?

Yeah, refs "let them play" sometimes, and others decided to get a bit tickytack. I think the calls favored LU in terms of foul calls, but that's always a part of the game, and UNCA was almost able to overcome it.

I'd have to say the officiating was bad for both sides, but I did see some of the swatting LU got away with.

He is the same John Williams, who has been bragged about (and is) as the the most athletic player in the Big South.
