Man this team is filled with so many mysteries

Sanders, Ohman, and Baker provided about what you expect from each of them.

-Gordon, very strong defense, decent ballhandling, decent shot. He looks like he has a ton of upside
-Carter, looked confident and very fluid with the ball. Still got pushed around quite a bit in the interior
-Konan, very athletic player, needs better tough
-Perez, polished player, knows his capabilites and limits.
-JA, man when he gets that shot in full step he is deadly, limited overall game though.
-Minaya, scrappy with good size, should be a valuable player for us once he gets confidence.
-Burrus, he looked very athletic in the brief time that he was on the floor, pretty good touch

I thought we looked like a very young team who is still learning to play with each other. I think this team will be fine once we can establish a rotation and define the roles of each player

The more I see JA play the more I think his minutes should be cut. He is such a liability in ball handling and on defense that his shot just doesn't make up for it.

Wasn't at the game, so I'm only going by stats, but if Gordon, Perez, & Anderson all played the 2 guard last night, we got 33 points from that position.

And our PG led the team in rebounding with 9.

Oh, and though I couldn't find it online yet, the LU article about the game in our hometown fishwrap was written by our very own BJ WILLIAMS. Seems like when Lang is out of town, ole BJ is his understudy and right hand man. Congrats, BJ!

jmanson----I think you are crazy. Don't know how much you know about bb....since I just joined this board....but JA has game, he just needs to get minutes to prove it.

I'm one of the biggest Jeremy Anderson fans on this board. With that being said, I love him coming off of the bench. He has the type of game that can bring you instant momentum. He's got the leadership and the poise to step into the game when things aren't going great and calm everyone down and get them going the right way. He's about a step slow on defense at times but works as hard or harder than anyone on the floor to make up for it. If it was at the end of the game, and we were trying to come back from a few points down, I'd put James in for defense and Jeremy in for offense.

pretty much agree w/you but think that if he doesn't start, he should be getting more minutes....and think he will just get better as he is coming back from being injured and doesn't look like he is completely back

Jeremy Anderson has lots of fans. He did a terrific job and was all freshman in the BSC 2 years ago, and now is working at getting his full game back after a long injury layoff. I agree that with the arrival of Perez and Gordon, he will be a better fit coming off the bench, but JA at full capacity can most definately help this team.

wow...not a momma or a girlfriend...just like to see someone play the game the right way. Was glad that Tyler Baker had a better game on Saturday night. think he and Carter Mac will be needed to help us out this year.

His minutes will go up as he begins to get comfortable playing again. You can't expect him to get huge minutes coming off an injury like that.

Thanks CJ, With Chris in NC, Nathan Warters in College Park and Ted Allen in Roanoke Chris (Morris) asked me to cover the LU game last night...it was kinda weird being at the game and not just being there to root on the Flames but to get on press row, talk to some of the players afterward and get free food (thank you hospitality lol). I hope you liked the article.
