I've seen Liberty on ESPN SEVERAL times this season because of Curry.

...because the Asheville game was already planned as part of ESPN's 24-hours of 'season opening kickoff' games...
...because the Old Dominion game was part of the 'bracketbuster' game that we agreed to be in, prior to Curry's arrival...
...because the VMI game was the Big South semifinals, which ESPNU agreed to televise.

We were not on ESPN several times BECAUSE of Curry. We were on ESPN, and Curry happened to be a part of our team.

Why would they have chosen that game over others except for Curry?

Same reason we were in it 2 years earlier before we had a clue that Seth would be here. We fell into a range of teams for whom a quality non-conference win late in the season could be a factor in NCAA seeding, etc. Unless I'm mistaken, we were far from the lowest rated team in the bracketbusters.

The UNCA game being televised was mainly because of Kenny George, and was scheduled before he had his medical problems.

That is fine, but I was referring to PTI, Dick Vitale, Sportscenter, etc. Curry was a draw and that is ALL ESPN cares about. I mean Dick Vitale has NEVER talked about a Liberty player, as far as I know, until this year. Perhaps it was because of Liberty's program, I'm more on the side that thinks it was because of Curry and only Curry. Replace Curry's numbers with any other player on Liberty's roster and there would be no mention.

I disagree. If John Jones from Liberty led the nation in freshman scoring, you would be hearing his name. I understand there was immediate buzz b/c of Seth's brother, but anyone who leads the nation will draw attention.

You are saying that Dicky V would have made him his "diaper dandy", ESPN would have done a feature on him and his brother, and PTI would have talked about him on 2 separate occasions? I don't agree.
