on offense, they may get some points be we have been pretty good at denying passes to the inside and forcing outside shots. I agree though that it would be interesting to see how we do against the big guys.

In many ways coaches fear athleticism and skill (shooting) more than size. Remember when Dallas played Golden state in the opening round of the NBA playoffs and Avery Johnson went away from his regular lineup to match up? That turned out to be a mistake because it threw them off from their rhythm, and they paid the price for it. I'm not sure how that series would have gone if Dallas had played their big lineup instead of moving Nowitski to the post.

Just to answer the earlier question about Liberty against the Big East, no the Flames have never beaten a team from that conference. 0-4. Three of the losses to Seton Hall, one to Providence.

I'm sure you are right in regards to current members, but wasn't VT still in the Big East when we beat them twice in a row back in the Hanky era? That was the year Carl Williams played for us.

Oh, well I checked and that was while Tech was still in the A-10. I didn't realize they were in the Big East such a short time.

Liberty is 1-4 all-time against Big East squads. Liberty topped Virginia Tech when the Hokies were members of the Big East during the 2000-01 season.
