We were up 17 with a little over a minute to go and their coach had their players foul us. TBGBG says, "Are you serious?" to the coach and the coach says back to him, "Can I check my guy in?" (he had the last player on his bench waiting to check in) Some manager/asst coach was talking crap to TBGBG at the same time telling Andy to be quiet and just acting like a jerk. TBGBG says back, "Oh, excuse me, I can't see the scoreboard." Some woman (from Liberty) who was probably in high school when Methuselah was starting elementary schools starts yelling at Andy that he needs to "shut up" and if he wants to "say stuff like that go somewhere besides Liberty."

I don't have a problem with the fouling. The coach can use it as a teaching experience.

The woman yelling at Andy wasn't because she thought it was ok to foul. It was because he was heckling the opposing team. Whether or not you think the fouling was good or not is not important in this case. The woman basically said if you wanted to heckle the other team, do it at some other school.

it was stupid...i turned to the lady and just said very calmly that you guys were just joking around there is no need for anybody to get upset...and she went on to say she is a mom and she just doesn't think its right and that she has known the kid that was about to check in since he was like a little kid or something...who knows...it was dumb

I forgot you were there. My bad. This wasn't something worth us getting mad over so we just dropped it right there, but it's getting pretty old.

Two things caused it:

a) Old people who should never leave the padded seats again to sit anywhere near the students
b) Putting the visiting parents right in the middle of the student section.

She is a mom... the Mother of Moses... Bottom line for her to yell at me when Im yelling at the coach and he is yelling back at me is crazy... but hey, pick your battles... They are dumb and thats it. I was giving the coach a hard time as I do to all of them, Its not what he did was THAT stupid, but Im just giving him a hard time, she needs to learn to stay quiet because Im not going to and she is wasting her time.

I was there as well...I really wanted to just watch the game nad not get wrapped up in anything but really I do wish that people would get it in their heads that we ought to be able to shout things at the other team at a sporting event

I agree completely....I thought the coaches were funny....it was the lady that made me kind of mad...not like angry...just annoyed more then anything...especially her answer..."I am a mom..." Nobody was even saying anything to the kid, so that didn't even make since

But yeah, when it comes down to it they need to change where they put the visiting fans, it breaks up the flow of the student section...and when the student return that will be much needed space if all goes as well as we all hope it will with student support

Who gives a crap where the coach went to school? During the 40 minutes of the game, he is just the coach of the team we're playing. Do you think Coastal doesn't go hard against Coach Green because he's an alum? Before the game or after the game, he's a Liberty alum and that's great. That doesn't matter one bit during the game.

I dont know about his motives... but i know he and his coaching staff's priorities are out of order if they can take the time out of a running game to stop and all talk trash to lil ol me Really Im flattered though, Such a great coach for such an AMAZING team would take the time out to stop and speak to me for a few seconds when HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING

Motives or not, what TBGBG didn't warrant the response it got. Here's the situation:

It's 3:45 in the afternoon. His team was up 17 points with a little over a minute to go. He hasn't eaten all day so he's hungry. His favorite NFL team plays in 45 minutes. The game is against a no-name DII school that no one gives a crap about and the only reason they're at the game is to support their own team. The coach of the opposing team who is getting killed tells his kids to foul. TBGBG says, "Are you serious?" That's all. Nothing more until the coaches on his staff started talking crap.

Boy did catch heck for that from people in the stands, and even Radebaugh glowered at me for a good 20 seconds. I guess you're supposed to be immune from even good natured ribbing when you have a connection to the school.

I'm surprised there weren't more people going off on him if he was fouling with a minute to go and the game decided.

to me the reaction from the old lady was more childish then anything you guys were doing....

Also a coach should not turn around and yell at the student section, they should stay focused on their job..why does he even care what people are saying in the crowd...just do your thing and laugh it off
