Oh, so ECU missed their second freethrow? I see the final score is now up. Stat track never did show the last play.

Tyler is day to day. He has a foot injury that he is battling back from. He is being worked back in slowly. They got 12 minutes outta him on Tuesday but that is the only time he has played this year so far. Great win on the road. All wins are good at this point for us but especially on the road. BJ is continuing to make his mark. We may go to Kentucky and win! Ok, if the Kentucky game was played today on perhaps the bigest weekend in LU sports history, we might have gotten them. Jeff Alder is gonna bring home a soccer championship tomorrow too! What a day, what a weekend!

BJ came up big today with 20 points. Nice win. Unbelievable weekend so far for all of LU sports and it is a shame I missed the action.

Good to be on the right side of a last-second shot for once.

We have to be concerned about the minutes Ace, BJ, TJ, Rell and Smitty are playing. Russ and Justin have to improve to get more minutes. Tyler has to get healthy as well.

Yes, not much coming from the bench. It looks as if Coach McKay doesn't have much confidence in them especially Justin Holland.

SCAR, what's the deal with TeeJays t/o's?

nature of the beast at the PG position?

What a great game. I was there with some friends who go to ECU and loved every minute of the ECU student section heckling the kid at mid-court with a red Liberty t-shirt. The best part was when we won it and I turned around and just pointed at my shirt. They missed the second part of the 1-1, we got the rebound, took at time out, came down the court with about 14 seconds on the clock. TeeJay went up the middle, lost the ball, Alex got it and put it in to win. It wasn't really a pass to Alex, one of the ECU guys knocked it away and it just went into Alex's hands. Awesome game.

At one point BJ hit back-to-back-to-back three's... he was jawing at one of the guys on the other team too after a foul, thought maybe there would be some shoves at one point, but he showed a lot of leadership on the court tonight.

It sounded like BJ had a great game, only knock i have is he turned the ball over quite a bit tonight, but other than that he played great!

TJ Bannister: 6 assists; 4 turnovers; 2 steals; 4 of 4 from the line; 4 fouls; 10 points.

TJ is taking charge and leading this team right now. His overall play last night was outstanding.

Playing point is not a reason to turn the ball over. John Cheney used to hold his point and 2 guards to commit to less than 3 to's a game . Of course you are going to have it more so turning it over more is a possibility but not a given. TJ makes spectacular plays and sometimes, like Woodson, his teammates are not used to the type of passes he throws or they aren't ready for it. I have to see the anatomy of his TO's and I have not seen TJ play other than practices and scrimmages with Liberty on his chest. If he is traveling or getting charges then that is on Tee Jay. If he is getting ripped then that is on him too. If he is throwing it in the post and the post doesn't come to the ball or teams are deflecting his passes or they are hitting off his teammates hands then that is on Tee Jay too but also his teammates have to take some ownership. In short (no pun intended) Medic, I don't know the answer. I know he is a really good point guard for the big south. HE will be able to compete with the most successful point guard in big south history in Chris Gaynor. Can't wait for that matchup.

I have only seen TeeJay play against D2 competition (except on TV when he was at UVA), but I think it is a problem which will lessen, but never go away completely. A lot of his moves and passes have a high "degree of difficulty" and thus high risk/reward. I believe as he works off his game rust and his teammates adjust to him (and vice versa) his assist to turnover ratio will improve. Something tells me RMc is not the kind of coach who will try to make him play with a "restrictor plate".
