No it's not. That's classless. He should be kicked out of the band.

If he were a fan that would be okay. The school paid for his trip. That's unacceptable from him.

No. It said fire warning or fire danger or something like that, playing off the nickname. No way the school would let that fly.

I was never in the "Sweet Sixteen", which is the name of the basketball pep band at Liberty. However, marching and concert bands were both 1 credit courses and the warning was if you did something stupid or missed a performance it would be an automatic F for the course and you'd be kicked out for the rest of the season. I imagine the rule is the same. But what is left of the season? A couple of girls games?

Okay, that makes more sense. I spared myself and didn't watch, just saw a friend post something on Twitter. Glad that didn't actually happen.

I predict UNCA over LU in a tight one - 75-70
I'd still bet UNCA with that line. A good prop bet would be if DL calls a TO with under a minute left
I lost the prop bet by :02 Crap

All the posters on here (I wont name names because they know who they are) who seemed to be practically cheering for his firing. I am not surprised that it happened (and probably expected it to be frank), but at the end of the day, a man lost his job. I would hope that people would not be practically cheering if/when anyone here loses their job.

Go ahead name names. You agreed with the firing so by your own vague definition YOU are happy a man lost his job. If you are going to make a statement like your first one don't go all spineless like you did in the second one. Holier than thou comments like that really annoy people

GMTM comes to mind right off the top of my head along with our resident vertically challenged first responder. I'd have to review posts but I think you could put TheGovernor in that group as well.

I know i agreed with the firing, but deep down, while I probably knew it was coming, I wasn't happy about it. Coach layer was the first coach I ever interviewed at Liberty and like a lot of people, I came away liking him a lot as a person. its sad to see him go, and I hope he finds a place to land.

BJ stop trying to claim some moral high ground. No one is saying bad things about Coach Layer as a man. A change needed to be made and you acknowledge that. No one wishes ill on Layer.
