If roundball is your blood, this is the place to discuss the Flames as they move into the Ritchie McKay era for the 2nd time.

As for recruiting, we are ignoring one of the ripest crops of potential d1 talent in our own state in the 757. You probably could find one or two star level players at either the public or private school level. The Richmond area is another excellent crop we are ignoring. There are plenty of others but my home state (and quite a few others on here) is one of the glaring omissions in our radar

If we added one player of John Brown's caliber to our roster, we would finish near the middle of the standings but I doubt that we would win the championship.
Regular season or tournament championship? One star player getting hot at the right time could deliver the latter

I thought us losing Harper and Landis were really going to hurt, they haven't so far. We've got to improve our FT shooting to stay in the top tier, and our defense could use a shot in the arm as well.

Layer is a class act, but it's time for y'all to cut bait and move forward.

We would be better off with 5 Rell Porters on offense.

Seriously though, if the Vegas line between this team and the 7 win team from 05-06 was PICKEM....

I'm taking the better coached team.

One star player would not have this team (or any team for the foreseeable future) competing for any championships. The program has to be completely rebuilt from the ground up.

I want this program to be competing for regular season and tournament championships and eventually dominating the Big South and competing with true mid-majors. Not making tournament runs and getting the autobid because we got hot in the postseason tournament.

Need to bring in a couple scoters, guys who are consistent most every night.

Now it seems a player will score 12-15 points one night and 4 the next

High Point loses to Coastal, Langs and FlamesNation's preseason snub of the Chants, voting them behind High Point despite the RPI was probably the motivation.
