A fanbase can be passionate for more than one sport.
hokie fans are not :I chortle audibly.:
Hard to be passionate for an ACC team that continually can't make it to the NCAA Tournament or on the rare occasion that they do they squander the opportunity to build any momentum for the program.

Wow that couldn't be farther from the truth. We played in their gym our first year playing a DI schedule and then Hampden-Sydney cancelled the game. We played them the next year in a late scheduled exhibition game but had to coax them into as a fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina. HSC won't play Longwood, not even in an exhibition any more.
I mean goodness gracious, they only beat Central Penn by 13, they aren't even D3 or NAIA, they are USCAA! Central Penn has a community college on their schedule!
Wrong again... USCAA schools are dually accredited with NAIA. Central Penn was (maybe still is) #1 in the country in their particular affiliation.

You lost to one of the worst teams in the country (PC) and beat one of the worst (Longwood) at home without their starting point guard. We'll see you in Farmville...

That's an LC fan you're arguing with.

To be fair, we pummeled them by nearly 30 points. And we are apparently one of the worst teams in the NCAA. A point guard was not Longwood's problem on Tuesday.

I completely agree, there is only one problem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Gillian

I fully expect a good game in Farmville though.

Interesting story considering I know for a fact that H-SC has tried to get Longwood on the schedule for 4+ years now and Longwood won't have anything to do with it. I do find it funny that you won't even try to refute my statement that H-SC is better than Longwood in basketball.

Longwood fans have reached new lows, coming on a message board to lie about an opponent to pump up their own team.

Central Penn is not affiliated with the NAIA as they are not listed as an NAIA member school on the NAIA's official website.

Central Penn, however, is ranked #3, but it's in Division II USCAA, the lowest division of the USCAA, and has a 13-10 record. Doesn't speak much for D2 USCAA when a team with seven non-D1 losses is considered one of the three best teams...

What are some of their non-D1 losses?
A JUCO school in Williamson Trade
D3 Wilkes with a 7-10 record
D3 Scranton with a 13-5 record (a blowout by a score of 66-48 by the way)
D2 Mansfield with a 5-11 record
D3 Buffalo State with a 9-6 record
USCAA PSU-York with a 14-4 record, ranked 9th in D2 USCAA
D2 Clarion with a 5-11 record

Congratulations are in order though I reckon since Longwood did beat a school by 13 that would be lucky to be a mediocre D3 school! Along with that 12-point win over D2 USCAA and provisional D3 school Southern Virginia, maybe the Lancers could be a force in NCAA Division III or the USCAA!

Agreed...you have an LC/UK fan that works (Im guessing) for H-SC, where my HS English teacher's son goes to school, arguing with a Longwood fan/unofficial reporter on a Liberty message board (for the record I only mentioned my English teacher's son because its the only connection Id have to Hampden-Sydney)

Remember when wildcats told us nobody cares about Liberty outside of Lynchburg? Then why does this principle not apply for Farmville? I mean I do partly understand, there's nothing else to do over there than argue with people on here :D

Not entirely true, but not far from it. Luckily I'm not one of those folks that has to have something to do 24/7.
