We look awful on offense. A lot of standing around at the arc and passing back and forth. Jesse blows a layup trying to draw a foul and then a frustration foul.

Iona throws it away on the other end. 28-16, 1:51 to go.

What has happened to our team over the last couple of games? No matter what the announcers say, this Iona team is decent, but from video I've seen, they aren't better than Coastal. To be down by 18 is pretty sad. The players seem to have lost their edge. Hopefully, they will readjust their play in the second half.

Where is our mental toughness? Where is the character this team has shown all season? Everytime I think we are making progress as a program we prove just how far we have to go. Can't wait for some more bigs to show up on campus in the fall.

Believing LU Basketball is on the verge of something great since 1991. The Cubs won a World Series so why not LU to the Sweet Sixteen?!

I'm done with this game. Our team doesn't seem to want to win- they are more content to throw up crappy shots and turn the ball over. Two games on the road before the tourney. I hope Coach Layer can get these guys back into shape because I don't think it will happen today!

This is what is so frustrating. If it looked like we cared. If we made our free throws and took care of the ball and just got out scored I wouldn't mind so much. We just kill ourselves! Iona is shooting lights out from 3 so we would probably still be down but I wouldn't be embarrassed.

Well at least we acted like we cared in the 2nd half. Honestly the first half was embaresing. Our defense was horrid and the offense was well MIA. Iona was good enough without us giving them all the uncontested shots.

A random comment the crowd was great considering the circumstances. The place was crazy loud when we came within 20 at one point. And yes that's how sad a game it was.

The announcers said the crowd was the best and loudest for a team down 18 points that they'd ever seen. Good job to our fans on that.

With that being said, we live and die by Evan Gordon. When he plays well, we have a chance to win. When he isn't playing well, we don't.

thanks for the sarcasm...anyway seeing the crowd this energetic when we are down 18 certainly is a good sign. if this was around my first couple years in Lynchburg and we were down 18 you could hear a pin drop.
