What about Pete Gillen(Sp?)? I know he was on the list before we hired McKay.

If we try to get someone that is unfamiliar with LU and Lynchburg you bring them in, tour them around, try to sell them on the school then try to sell them on the city, then try to sell them on the school system for the kids blah blah blah blah Dale Layer doesnt have to be sold on anything...he knows what we are and that's why he wants back...this can be a quick hire and keep a lot of the staff in place thus meaning we keep recruits that they have been working on (Soko is gone).


this would be a quick hire but in no means a rash decision...it would be very very smart...and who's to say HE wouldnt have a few players that were on the brink of being Big East type players that would do well here

I think last time we were looking to...for the lack of a better word, diversify. Not that Cooper isn't a good candidate, but I think we'll likely broaden our search this time around.

I wish I could change my vote from Cooper to McKay. The more I think about it, the more I tend to believe he would be the best fit.

I think you really want someone who WANTS to come here and coach...as opposed to someone who would just use this as a couple of years.
