I hear there's a girls AAU coach that's available.

I was about to say that, and then bit my tongue. Some on here would be happy!

I think he can take us to the next level. With that said, it doesn't take much effort to call Chris Lang back and say he is happy here and wants to build the program and is flattered by the offer but LU is where he wants to be...

Don't make such strong assumptions. There is another possibility that seems more likely. But I do agree this will be cleared up shortly.

Moreover, several people have e-mailed me inquiring about speculation that a coach with ties to Boo Williams' Hampton summer league will join Bennett at Virginia. Which leads to the following hunch:

If Bennett is pondering such a move, the most probable candidate is Bethel High assistant Ed Huckaby. He's a former assistant at Hampton University and Wright State. He's also the guardian of Bethel forward Ovie Soko, who last month committed to Liberty.

Might Bennett have asked McKay to recommend a coach connected to Hampton Roads? And might McKay have forwarded Huckaby's name.

Not only his coach but his guardian.

Ovie isn't that impressive, unless he has grown tremendously since i played against him in high school last year. so Mckay > Soko anyday, plus it could open up for theus to come here who is a game changing gaurd

Hopefully complex as in upgraded practice facilities and other concessions that would benefit recruiting. (That is what Grant negotiated for here at UA )

We already have a scholly available for Theus, and right now Ovie is considered our highest rated recruit so I wouldn't trash him.

At the very least the sniffing has brought out other options for the lack of the rumor being squashed.

Maybe they are on the phone with the Vines Family asking if they can re-name the furnace the McKay Center, haha!

I really wish I didnt get on here and read things....how much awful luck can we have? Now Soko's dad (guardian) might be a coach????? There's just nothing we can do to defend that....I guess that answers some peoples questions on how good Soko is
