Let me preface my post by stating that I know next-to-nothing about basketball. I don't know anyone who knows less than me. I'm a FlamesFan and I go to the games to cheer on the team, but basically I'm just biding my time until football season begins again.

That being said, I felt the need to reply in this thread. First of all this guy (Mr. Hastings) is entitled to his opinion. His logic is flawed as others have pointed out, but he's welcome to have an opinion and voice it. Secondly he's welcome to have a silly little FaceBook group, lots of people do, but I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of joining it. Where he really messed up was to email a student-athlete. Shame, shame, shame on him. Coaches get paid to deal with people like this, student-athletes are off-limits in my opinion. He could have voiced his opinion to Coach McKay and all would have been fine. He stepped over the line and I think he owes Seth Curry an apology.

And Seth - shoot away! As Babe Ruth said, "Never let the fear of striking out get in your way". You can't score if you don't shoot, that's what you're here for.

Stop shooting so we can make the tourney? Ask the opposing coaches what they think of his game, and the opposing beat writers, and the opposing radio play-by-play guys. Seth's answer was a good one - he already acts grown up beyond his years on the court, and now, unfortunately (or fortunately) he has to be very grown up off the court (with a guy who in all likelihood couldn't carry his jock to the locker room.)

You want to know what the guy's deal is?

He is jealous that he wasn't/isn't as good Curry, and the only way he can make himself feel better is to try and bash the kid that is better than him.

I say don't give him the attention, when we are doing that, he is getting what he wants as well. Let him drop off the face of the earth. Anyone that has a little common sense knows better than to listen to him. We don't need to defend Curry, he does a perfectly fine job of doing that on the court. There is only 9 people in his facebook group, people know better.
