And the Davidson game this year isnt totally off yet, it changes about every week from what I hear, but no matter what they will be here next year cause they signed a contract. (Or they could pay uss a lot of $$$)

As far as next year goes, an ACC home game is great, and Davidson at home, with the two Currys, is a potential ESPN game in the Vines.
How do you guys know there in an ACC home game next year?

The Clemson contract is a home-and-home deal. They will come to Lynchburg during the 2009-10 season. Therefore, the trip to Clemson this season is not a guarantee game. LU isn't getting paid to make that trip.

Also, Davidson is not a sure thing next season. No contract was ever signed between the two schools. They are still in discussion for next year, yes, but nothing is concrete. Also, the BracketBuster game eliminates any chance of a Liberty-Davidson game this season unless Liberty drops a game from its schedule. Of course, the two could be paired in the BracketBuster.

Can I assume our recent assistant coach hire was to convince Purnell to come here?

Has anybody looked at Clemson's schedule?

Dec. 2 Tue. at Illinois 7:30 PM ESPN2
Dec. 7 Sun. LIBERTY 3:00 PM
Dec. 13 Sat. SOUTH CAROLINA STATE 2:00 PM

I got excited because I read NCST after us. Right after a tough road game and right before conference play. But its SCST. I still like being after Illinois though. Maybe that'll be a close game for them and we can catch them by surprise. Although who knows if we'll be any good at that point in the season.

I don't see the point you're trying to make.

Any advantage we could gain by them playing Illinois before us is more than made up for by us playing a conference game the day before.

No. When Liberty plays Clemson, the pressure is on them 10 times out of 10. And them just having played in a potentially tight game, we would be the definition of a trap game. If we're any good, that is. It doesn't matter who we've just played. I guess it does matter that we just played the day before though. What a bad idea that was.

With the noon start, it could be done fairly easily as a day trip, as opposed to having to pony up for a hotel. I may go myself.

Thank God this was finally announced.

Another reason to be in the LUnatics. They heard about this six weeks ago.

Yeah, I've been sitting on it since late July. But off the record is off the record, so I wasn't saying anything.

2 hour slots all on the same network. Hopefully the game before us doesn't go over.
