Are you even slightly familiar with our past players? I know your not around campus to much but its not hard to know which players are going to go with the grain and which ones are going to go against it....ask SJ, JC, LUconn or whoever else follows the team closely and they can tell you fairly quickly

yes...i was here and covered them closer than anyone of them, i mean geez its no secret to the board my identity. Monceaux tried to play the choir boy act for a few months ( which is whom im speaking of) and he fooled people. Plenty of athletes i covered waited longer than 30 days to show there true colors....

Not gunna happen, nor should it. Speculation is a lot of what FF is about, and bickering is fine as long as it doesn't get personal.

Right but when you see players like Monceaux in the act...theres no anyone fooling anymore...

but like OF said, this thread has to continue while we're looking, threads like RMK leaving can stop b/c that's over but we havent hired anyone yet so it's important to get some of the info out there as long as it's not jeopardizing the process (by releasing to much info)

I don't know much about the other guys you're mentioning but Liberty would do well to go with Ryan Odom- first he's a former UNCA coach & knows the league.. Second, he's a super bright & upcoming coach.. Third, he has connections all along the Eastern seaboard- stints at American & V Tech would help recruiting AND retention... Of course some of you think he's probably not as accomplished of a coach as you would like since you're ready to switch leagues & what not.. I know Coach O personally, although I don't know about his religious faith... dare I say I'd actually have to pull for Liberty more often if he were part of your team..

Yeah, reading up on his resume I liked what I saw, and your endorsement does mean something fairly significant. If I had to pick someone other than DL, who seems like a long shot at this point, I would go with Odom.

As far as recruits are concerned, the actual deadline for them to decide what they are going to do is not as close as it may seem. The signing period begins on April 15, but it lasts til May 20.

thanks HMO i try, hahahaha i was just saying we have two different opinions going right now and they both have validity, i just hate the speculation for another day and a half before JB gets back and it winds up we all were dead wrong

I wouldn't assume this will be all wrapped up with a bow on top in the next couple of days. That's the goal but it doesn't always happen that quickly.

If our AD was smart, he would tell the kids that he will release them if they want to be released, but only after the new coach is named.

In our current situation, the only player for whom a release would have any significant impact is Joel Vander Pol, who could then reopen his recruitment and go anywhere they have a schollie for him. Current players who want to transfer have to sit a year regardless, and verbal commits are still free agents.

Let's look at our AD's track record.

Two years ago, we let go of our basketball coach. There is an ACC assistant on the bench that would've made a great head coach. He didn't promote him. Went outside of the staff. .

Is that coach still on the mountain? Is he worthy enough of a promotion now? I think he would know LU after being here 4 years now. JB signs his pay check, so he must not be all that bad to still be around after what happened 2 years ago.
