If you're not getting better, you're getting worse.

Apparently they thought everyone should be fired.
paradox wrote:So, did any of the terminated coaches ever win a Big South title?Okay, why would our administration believe we'd be better next season??? We get Bannister, a lock at the point and Brew and Smith at the wing......we will basically be where we are at now unless this 7'1 center is really good.....Odds are he isn't......
And here's a question that we can't answer: did the administration believe that the coach could win the next season?

If you are an Alum, I am starting to regret that I came to Liberty, because you must have gotten out of LU without learning to comprehend or rationalize.....Currently, I am throwing out a few hypotheticals out there about Dunton and a few points that haven't been brought up.
Also, HMO stated once that Dunton had to finish second to keep his job.....I guess that would be the goal for Dunton this year, but he obviously wont get there....Ergo, HE IS still the coach for this season

1) Hurt by the loss of Larry Blair and Damien Hubbard
2) Not sure how Bannister fits into the rotation
3) the 7'1" guy is too raw
4) Other freshman are "learning the system"
5) Brewington turns the ball over too much but is too small to play as a forward
6) we shouldn't have given Dunton that five-year extension
SuperJon wrote:Since the Decision Maker has been at this school (mid January of last year), we've won 8 games against Division I opponents. How could he have confidence in the coach when that happens? The perspective from the administration is from the inside and there is always more going on than what we can be seen in the stands. So, their confidence level regarding Dunton is an unknown to us.
The trap that some of you guys keep falling into is that you respond emotionally to something that you disagree with and then claim that the other guy is somehow irrational. Are we all guys here--students, alumni, staff, & faculty--are do we have any FEMALE Flame Fans?
Now, just because a few guys on this site get a little touchy about sports, I would never write off LU or blame its educational system for that.
